I just tried to checkout something at Allakhazam's on the Net during a break at work. I was suprised that despite the fact it was 4pm EST that the server seemed very slow. Clicking around the site I found many links that were having trouble or flat erroneous. Since I'm going to be playing EQ again I was going to use it like I did before.
What I'm wondering is this: I was considering reactivating my ol' Allakhazam account but now I'm wondering if it's worth it. So let me get your input if I may. Do you use it allakhazam's or some other site? If you use it, do you feel an account is worthwhile? If it's going downhill and there's a better quick reference site I would like to know. =) I can spend 30 bucks to save me time (for work breaks etc), but that doesn't mean I'm OK with throwing money away.

ps. I deleted a good link I had for eq downoadable maps (for in-game use); if anyone wants to throw me one you like I'd appreciate that too.
I wouldn't use allakhazam without having a membership, hehe. It seems like they put you on a different server or something that is much faster.
As far as downloading maps to use in game I go to MAPFIEND. I also try to re-download the zip file once a month as several of them are edited frequently.
OK, I wanted to be sure if i was paying for something I wouldn't have to wait forever like that. Hehehe, I try to spend my money wisely. Frivolously is very fun, but not neary as rewarding in the end. So I gave it up for .. um New Years.. yea.

i think allah is having some trouble today. i have been getting page not found and just timeouts all day. normally its working fine and well worth the small amount to pay for no ads and expanded stuff.
