i opened up an online bank account for my 'savings' - this has proven to work really well. The account has no key-card - the only way you can access it is to transfer it into another of your accounts ... i've found this a great way to stop me spending .. cos the process can take two or three days- and by then i've done serious thinking about wether or not i want the item. SO having the money hard to get at is an advantage

I gave up spoking 10 months ago (yeah me) and put my 'smoke money' in this account pretty much since then .... i have saved so much. If i sell anything on ebay etc - i also get the money deposited into this account - as it is like extra money.
