no more ezboards?
so, loligaging around on ezboards today I notice something interesting. Ezboard is working on a new project called Yuku.

As I understand it, Yuku will basically replace ezboard.

So I go to yuku and sign up to check it out.

Should I be trying to make a board and playing with it or is it better if I just wait until the board I already have on ezboard is transferred over, whenever that may be?

It will be a long while before we are ready to migrate ezboards to yuku (we need to have all the gold features operational for one thing) so you can make a new board to test and play with here.

Is this what will be happening with our EzBoard forum-boards then, they will be migrated over here, personally I'd like to keep mine at EzBoard unless I can have all of my custom coding transferred over, as well as all visitors redirected and their accounts made complaint with EzBoard too, as well as all of the EzBoard features, otherwise I'd be too inclined to keep my EzBoard sites, (especially B1) independant from my Yuku sites, (especially B1v2).

you will not be forced to move any ezboard community. As you can see, this is early days for yuku anyway. I beleive that they will be able to migrate some information, as you may have noticed that some user accounts have thousands of posts - they are posts made in ezboard, not yuku. But I do not know if that then means that entire boards can be migrated over en masse.

These questions and others will be answered in time.

they will be migrated over here,

Not any time soon.

as well as all visitors redirected and their accounts made complaint with EzBoard too,

we won't migrate any boards without also migrating the member accounts

What about existing coding, would it be EVERYTHING transferred accross, or would be be expected to transfer our own coding ourself?

not all ezboard coding will work on yuku, j a v a s c r i p t ' s are not allowed for example. all the EZURL hacks will not work. We will try to import CSS and HTML customizations, but the classes may have different names and it could need adjustment after migration. This is all speculation though since we are nOT migrating boards right now and have not attempted to do so.
