new site ideas
Hey there everyone
We are thinkin about redoin the site pretty soon, if anyone has any gripes about this one or ideas for the next one, please let us know.
weve got a heap of new downloads we will put up, b sides and demos for all the albums.

tabs?
maybe a tabs section?? i know you've tabbed some songs before?? i remember you doing one for one in a million i think, but perhaps a section with all the tabs you guys have on it?? even if you guys can't manage to write them perhaps you could collate tabs that have been done by fans and put them up...

i have plenty of suggestions other than the same old more pictures type.
i think to make the site a bit better for 56 k modem users you should stop that automatic playback of the mp3. the stop sound button never works for me.
maybe you could add a compilations section to the discography, but only put the songs that don't appear on any other album/single so that it doesn't get too big. eg. short music comp, triple j live cd's, etc.......
the demo songs mp3's definitely get the big thumbs up from me, as long as they are high quality files. eg better than 128 kbps. anything less than 128 hurts my ears and is a dis-service to the music. i'd love to hear the damnation/helium demo tapes as well.
maybe you could make the lyrics section complete by adding lyrics for the ep's, singles and compilations. maybe some explanations to the story behind the lyrics?
also, info on different versions of the various releases. eg. the mulitple versions of take a look inside and time to grow up. Or, the number of limited edition releases such as how many girl's bike ep's were made and how many of each colour of 17 years vinyl, or how many no touch red bonus discs were made etc....
maybe a few random stories about how each album was recorded. eg. how a new unknown australian band got bill and stephen to produce the first bodyjar album.
maybe info on side bands such as soda racer or cola wars. info on what past members are doing musically, or where present members came from (180 discord).
if you like these suggestions i'm sure i can think of some more similar ones.

ohohoh, this is more of a request/suggestion for the next album, but how bout a 12" vinyl version of the next album?

Yeah, these ads are annoying. Other than that, I don't mind the site now.

Thankyou. I wouldn't exactly call it shut down though.
Oh, and back to this forum thing. I lot of people just reply to messages with the subject as '.' but if you do that too many times, ezboard automatically bans you for spamming. Just a warning (they did it to me last weekend, and it was annoying fixing it).

i usually find that if youre already signed into the board BEFORE you hit the "add reply" button, itll automatically stick in the subject for you (ie "Re: new forum" was put into this posts subject line automatically)
but yes, it is a pain in the ass if you dont have cookies enabled or access the board from different PCs etc etc
