I recently, (at my son's request) started a "family healthy eating" program using low carb. He's already lost 4 pounds this week, but now that school is back in session, I'm having a hard time finding stuff for him to take. Obviously the school lunches are out. Vegies and stuff are a given, but a main course is my trouble. He does not have access to a microwave, so it has to be edible from a lunch bag. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Trying to find ANYTHING for kids for low carb has proved to be very difficult.

My daughter who is 14 takes the Atkins tortilla shell and makes sandwiches with them. Now with the low carb bread she alternates. Sometimes she just makes taco salad without the shell. She also likes make ham and cheese roll ups and takes a bag of atkins chips with dill pickles. We just recently tried the Dannon yogurt that only has 3 gm of carbs. It's really good and creamy. Hope that helps.
