low carb and endurance exercising dealwrite
my dilemna is that i like low-carb diets, having lost 40 lbs. initially with atkins. but i don't think that low carb dieting is beneficial to me during "training season" where i do a lot of endurance exercising (30 & 40 mile bike rides, 5-8 mile runs, and mile swims. everyone that i encounter say that i need to go to high carb during training season. then during off-season go low carb. i find that my weight and body fat percentage go up and down, mostly up coz i don't always make the right "carb" choices. just curious if anyone has fit low-carbing into endurance sports without hurting their performance.

I would love to know the answer to this as well! I do triathlons and have tried to start cutting back the carbs. But I don't know if it will be possible...

I have a half-marathon next weekend and don't want to run out of gas!
