Re: ...
Proving there is a god is a relative thing at best. You first have to interpret the defining factors connected to being "G O D" in otherwords define how you view the concept ____ god.
I try to not to put such basic human faults on the concept - things like god is a woman or god designed mankind in his image(means he has a body of some form vaguely human in appearance.)
Now when you use such terms as Cosmic consciousness or Universal Oneness then I tend to work towards an equitable possible belief in a "higher" power or force of being. < < < even fits in nicely with much that is written in the abbreviated book known commonly as the Bible . Kinda like a summary (with vast areas of deletion) from the Talmud.
Mystaculous you little bit ---- ooops! I mean WITCH, youwanna give an opinion from the wiccan view point on this subject or am I gonna hafta shut you down ---- AGAIN.
Fun, fun, fun........
An aside to everybody else { she's so self-confident - that it really gets to her when she loses arguments with me...... silly soul.}
Re: ...
I've had this argument - face-to-face with Catholic ministers( even debated with a Bishop once),omsignours, priests(of other beliefs - ie, baptist priest,lutheran priest, mormonminister, protestant ministers) they tend to give it up when they can't use the book. My arguments for not utilizing the bible is valid and prove-able which becomes very, very frustrating for them.
They always run into a form of catch-22 phraseology with the words " believe" and "faith". It boils down to you have to have faith or you have to believe.
Hey, I don't have to do anything but die and pay taxes (and there's some question about the taxes part.!.!)
Re: ...
LMAO!!!! You should have seen the debate we got into over the origins of the wiccan religion. There is a controversy that wicca is the old religion, and then theres the side that it was created with Gerald B. Gardner. He chose the older than Gardner theory, and I chose the Gardner started theory. It was a wacky debate, with no real results. But hey! HAs anyone ever seen the word wicca or anything pertaining to the religion itself in any books predated Gardner??????
As for my opinion on god.....ok here we go!
God is a concept....yup yup. But there are too many concepts and one way or the other they all try to wipe the others out. It's silly. I think you should believe what you believe and screw any one else. They aren't gonna have any part in your personal relationship with "god". As for mine, first of all, god is neither male nor female, but both. Think about it, even before man was made, god, deity, spirit, whatever, had made animals of the two sexes. Plants are known to have two sexes. Everything has the two genders. Even Parameciums!!!! So when someone goes over that god was this or that, it could be something to consider. And if he made humans in the image of himself, then he would of have to of been both!!! Does this make sense to anyone other than me? As for the levels of consciousness, hehe, I can get into hours of conversations about this. So I think I have commented enough, and will refrain from anything further.
He,He,, thanks for asking your royal highnyness...errr..uuummm higness. Don't forget to wipe your ass......ummm chin.....you got something white right there!!!!
