Rules [Ban-able offenses included.](1). Write to the fullest extent of your ability. I'm not asking for a novella, but one or two sentences can let down the person writing with you. If I catch one liners, I'll kindly ask you to rewrite them when you are able. I'll probably ask this about 3 times before you and I have a one-on-one.
(2). If you have a complaint with another player, please bring it up with me first. I can probably talk you out of a frenzy and keep you from inserting your foot into your mouth if at all possible. Please don't knock-down, drag-out fight on my board. If you must, though, (and I hate losing players over this!) take it to the private messages. If you simply can't do that - Let me sell tickets. It'll help pay for the Gold subscription.
(3). Golden rule. (Google it, if you need to!)
(4). There is a balance of power here at Second Chances. Although this should be clear, let me clarify. No one character has the ability to automatically beat another one. If I see this happening and someone complains to me about it, there will be questions asked. If need be, plan your battles out with the owner of the character before hand. I want us to be adults here - if you have a problem with what someone posted, let them know. Ask them to edit so that it satisfies both/all characters.
(5). I reserve the right to give your character away if you (1) leave or (2) go inactive for a month or more. Characters that are important in the plot of this site such as Elders, Schism Saints, or parts of the Collection will not be erased from the history if you leave Second Chances, rather, someone else will be assigned to pick up your role.
(6.} Godmodding is not allowed at SC. Here are the different levels of GMing.
A. You're in a battle with another character and you immediately assume that you are stronger, faster, and better than the other person. Based on this assumption, you declare that all of your blows hit him or her and that he or she is fatally wounded while you win entirely. IF you're going to duel, box, or fight it out with a character, I demand that you talk about the post with the owner of the character. Get a plan set out. If you complain to me about being god-modded and you didn't do this, I'll have no pity on either party! Buwhahaha.
B. Your character is put in a compromising situation by another character without your permission. Perhaps, while you were out, another character barged in and killed your wife and children and is now standing in your doorway. ERNT. WRONG ANSWER. You must have permission to directly effect the rest of another character's life. This includes uninformed pregnancies as well, Second Chances doesn't have a child support system set up... yet. (1.) Blatant racism. Regarding skin color, orientation, or gender. I perma-ban the first time around.
(2.) God-modding. If it's unintentional and I call you on it, just edit your post. If I get complaints and see it more than 3 times, it's a temporary ban. If we can't work something out and it continues to happen, perma-ban.
(3.) Being mean to me. I have soft feelings but I don't like being pushed around!
(4.) No. You can't take over the site, that's called mutiny and it's a ban, as well.
Things you can do! [Oh the wonders, oh the wonders!!](1.) Get naughty. Due to underage members on this site and the impending threat of mad-mommas, all threads with sexual content must be kept in passworded forums. There is an application to get your own forum in the Character Applications forum, so DO IT. I love making new forums.
(2.) Curse. I'm Southern and I have no manners, but keep it so that I'm not blushing, eh?
