"..." Xero stood completely still, studying Zyth carefully. The deep caution and untrusting that had been taught into him from his very childhood were now in full strength. "...You were a rogue?" He was referring to dragons that acted merely for personal gain, or other dragonic creatures that cared not for how others suffered from their actions.
"My world does not have... Fire Lizards. But we have something similar, only smaller. Draglings. The maximum size that one of their kind grows to is about... Oh, the length of this." He held up his thumb in a thumbs-up gesture. "...Perhaps seeing is believing." He held up an egg between thumb and forefinger. It was about the size of a very small pebble. He carefully transferred it to the pocket it belonged in, making sure not to crush it.
"...The Draglings imprint on the first one they see. They will stick with them all of their lives, forming a very small telepathic bond... merely with transferred emotions. They live as long as the person or thing they imprinted on."

'Seeing is believed, eh? What ever do you mean by that?' the voice reverberated through their minds like a vibrating of a bell, rich and clear. It seemed that he could change the tone so the mind would "hear" it in different ways. Cepheron made an odd face at him before turning her attention back to Xero. The small egg cought her eye; she had not seen anything that could be so small but be alive.
"They are really that small? How in the world do you keep track of them and not crush them or something?" She asked curiously, forgetting for the moment why she made Zyth come here in the first place.

Xero let out a chuckle, a light cheerful sound. "You can't keep a Dragling. IT keeps YOU. They guide you. There have been indications that they can see small glimpses of the future, but it's never been proven. So, they keep track of you, not the other way around. As for the eggs... Well, they're stronger than they look. However, there have been rumors that occasionally a Dragling Egg appears near a Dragon or a person of Dragonic heritage... It would explain how I have five eggs in that pocket. I don't see how they could have crossed with me into this world otherwise..." He looked throughful for a moment.

Cepheron had a small smile on her face. It was most unusual as she did not smile very often at all. Not that there was much to smile about.
"I do not suppose they are going to hatch soon? That seems to be a lot..."Cepheron commented, softly, sneaking a glance at Zyth who seemingly was staring off into his own world most likely bored out of his mind but she knew he never stopped being alert and always listened to everything anyone said.

"...It is supposed that the Draglings pick whom they hatch for... So I think I can say they won't hatch until I meet some more people." Xero's eyes turned downcast for a moment. "...If one of them was going to hatch for me, it would have done so already... I, apparently, do not measure up to their qualifications. If they were going to hatch for you, it would have happened when I brought that one out... the reason they probably won't hatch for you is you already have a dragonic guardian." During the second part of this explanation, he stopped looking so downcast... right when he started talking about if they would hatch for Cepheron. His eyes revealed that he would give much for one of the precious creatures to hatch and guide him.

Cepheron scoffed and cast an accusing look at Zyth who just shrugged in return.
'Before you ask, no...I haven't seen anything of the magical sort...or at least that which you look for...' he had a smirk on his face at Cepheron's expression of surprise although she knew he could somewhat read minds. He looked back at Xero. 'But I'll gladly help you, seeing as I have nothing better to do and that it IS my duty to guide my liege here...and I can sense magical things as well...' The comment about "his liege" was thought with a drawn out sound and it made it seem as if Zyth loathed being Cepheron's guardian altough he really didn't; it was just his nature.

"So." Xero breathed out the word. "You can sense magical items. That will simplify things. No doubt you can already sense the energy of the three swords I carry?" He made this a question, but his tone indicated that it was a statement. "Here is what the other five feel like." He closed his eyes and concentrated, the sensation he remembered from wielding the Blades of Balance that he did not currently possess shared between minds. If Zyth chose to recieve it, that is.
Xero opened his eyes. He had never intended to share the feelings of the Blades... they were practically living, and they... had given him a feeling of belonging. He shook off the effects. "Can you also sense the aura of magical beings? The Pantheon of Balance know me too well; they can hide their energy from me, even though I'm one of the mortals most attuned to them."

Zyth's eyes widened and his pupils enlarged ever so slightly. The feeling of power from the strongly coated swords surged through him like fire.
'Yes..truly powerful things these...blades you have...and this Pantheon you speak of? Ah, yes...GODS' If Zyth had spoken this word it would have been as if he was spitting like the taste of it was disgusting 'Spiteful things...they are the reason I am in this predicament...of course I can feel them...just as I can feel your heartbeat in your chest and breaths of creatures hidden in the night...you see, even gods have a sort of life...to me, energy is like a living thing as well and all things have energy...there aren't many who can hide from me...but then again, it's what I trained myself for...'

Xero's lips thinned. "From the... 'tone' of your thoughts, I believe you and I share the same opinion on Gods. The only difference between them and most 'mortals' is the amount of power they possess. They can be maimed, even killed... or so I believe. The Blade of Death... it would most definately possess this ability. The problem is getting close enough to use it... and killing the God that made it would remove it's ability; a paradox."
He sighed. "But you do know now exactly how powerful the Blades are and what their aura's feel like... that type of energy should be a signal to you from miles around, correct? Then the moment they enter this world, which would be the same time as the God that created them, you would know. In that case, I suppose we should track down the Gods first."

Cepheron looked to Zyth and then at Xero with a thoughful look on her face. "Do you have any idea of where to start or where to go, or are we just going to stay here...?" she seemed fairly impatient although considering she had been at the river all night up until this moment, it was surely to be expected.
'Come now...what is it with the female species and there need to be impatient...?' Zyth asked, giving her a charming smile which she returned with a nasty expression.

Xero chuckled out loud, his mood lightening. "No. I've absolutely no idea where to go next. It's been a month of almost constant searching since I found the Blade of Existence and it took TALKING to someone to trigger the God of Death and the Blade of Death's arrival in this world. There's not much I can think to do except talk to the Gods. Now, Zyth, the Blades of Balance and Gods of Balance share the same energy. So, can you find any of the three Gods already in this world?"

Zyth looked at Xero, a smile coming to his face, an almost evil smile. Cepheron watched him curiously, eyes widened when a change came over him; not a physical change but a change of energy of some sort almost like he was absorbing it in some way.
'We shall see, won't we...?' his voice echoed menacing through the air. It seemed that Zyth enjoyed seaching for power, or perhaps it was the way it was felt, entering the mind and then the body. A feeling that was like a drug. Zyth's deep black eyes took on a faint glassy tint, a kind of glow to make them look like obsidian glass orbs. Cepheron stared at Zyth, frozen in awe and wonder.
'Something there...powerful...' the last word was said almost in ecstasy. 'It is far...I feel it...the direction of a setting sun...
((Sorry that is actually what I meant...I don't pay attention sometimes!))
