Appearance: In his human form, Lukavai is devastatingly attractive, seemingly sculpted by the gods themselves from purest alabaster. His skin is nearly translucent in its paleness, almost as if he were lit from inside by some etheric light. His hair flows free to the small of his back, a rich arterial crimson, almost liquid in its perfect sheen. His eyes reveal his inhuman nature, shining subtly with an arresting emrald light, nearly hypnotic, like light on a clear pool. His ears, too, are stange, lightly pointed with serrated backs. He stands a mere five-and-a-half feet, and is slightly built, but muscled like a dancer or acrobat, tightly and with hidden strength.
In his Cambion form, Lukavai gains a foot in height and nearly twenty pounds of muscle as knifelike obsidian horns sprout from his brow, short obsidian claws adorn his hands and the lustre of his eyes becomes impossible to ignore. A dusky radience surrounds him, and unseen winds gently stir his hair. In either form, he favors tight clothing in rich fabrics and floor length dusters in red leather. Lukavai has the bad habit of chain-smoking Djarum Red clove cigarettes, and is constantly surrounded by a haze of sweetly scented smoke.
Personality: Lukavai is prone to drastic mood swings and all-consuming black humors, as well as bouts of astonishing generosity. He tends to become consumed by his art, often not emerging from his studio or study for weeks on end. He is extremely fond of life's little luxuries, having a passion for good food, classical music, and silk sheets. Naturally talkative, Lukavai often tries to maintain a degree of distance between himself and others, as much for their protection as his. His humor is sarcastic and biting, but at his core, he has a good heart.
Biography: Lukavai is a cambion, a half-daemon on his father's side. His mother died in childbirth, and his father was unwilling to care for him. If not for the actions of Sabtetchta, a senior Temptress, Lukavai would have died. As he matured under the tutalage of Sabtetchta, Lukavai's incredible natural talent for the art of seduction, coupled with his extraordinary beauty, afforded him a meteoric rise though the ranks of the Tempter's and Corrupter's guild. Unfortunately for Lukavai, he commited an unforgivable sin. Showing compassion, he saved the life of an assigned victim, and fled for the world of mortals. For twenty years, he hid under the name of Luke Verra, a moderately succesful painter and novelist, and allowed his natural powers to fade. On the twentieth anniversary of his defection, Sabtetchta found her wayward student. Showing no restraint, she beat him to within an inch of his life and crucified him on the wall of his studio. Shortly afterward, he awoke on the streets of Nuresse.
Powers: Lukavai has picked up some minor magical tricks over the years, as well as his inherent abilities. The most notable are his inhuman strength and agility, as well as a supernatural resistance to physical harm. He has also been known to use the power of his voice to influence the minds of others. This is devastating to the unprepared, but mostly useless against the strong-willed.
Weapons: When he needs to cause some mayhem, Lukavai uses his bare hands to awesome effect.
Additional information: Lukavai's magic requires hours of ritual and preperation, as well as expensive components and materials. Several minor elementals owe him favors and at least one Crofted (magically created) spirit actively serves him.
