FOSSILCompendium is welcome to get any rulings they need from this site. There are more than double the rulings here, and we do feel sorry for the official site. Please take all you need!
Any card ruling with the " ! " posticon indicates a significant disagreement with some previous rulings. We are going to collect card rulings here that are easy to understand and easy to find for everybody. Please post your differences with our rulings on ask the boss, and we will post the correct ruling if you are right. Please leave a logical explanation for your disagreement and an email to reach you at, if further discussion is needed.. If we should get one wrong, we will replace the ruling, not leaving it to conflict with past rulings. It will appear as edited. Note> compendium says you can get past areodactyl with rare candy. this is incorrect, (surprise again). rare candy instucts a person to evolve a pokemon from his hand, not his deck. Areodactyl sticktly forbids playing evolutions cards from the hand.

Ditto copies the written card, not what it has changed into. Ditto has the opposing pokemon's pokemon powers,poke powers, and poke bodys, when he transforms. Ditto may use any energy for any type without added benefits like dark energy. But special energy like recycle or warp do what the energy card says. attached electrode's and double colorless can be 2 of any type, or different types. When transformed in a mysterious fossil and other similar trainers, ditto does not provide a prize when knocked out just as the copied trainer says. When coping swords dance and then doing any slash of another pokemon, the attack is still doubled. If the defending pokemon is switched or retreated, ditto becomes the new defending pokemon immediately. When ditto copies muk with special conditions, that shuts off his own power.if ditto crosscounters and the original rocket's hitmonchan retreats, crosscounter still works. If an attack says discard all_______ energies, decide how many you wish to discard, change that many energies into that tpe, and just discard that many. You decide what energy provides what type. ditto cannot recall or genetic memory because he did not evolve. if ditto uses rain dance, the applied energies must be water, because it is not on ditto yet to be called water yet.Ditto can use energy trans, because it says transfer grass energy attached to, which at that point, when attached to ditto, all energy can be grass. But he cannot transfer non-grass energy from another pokemon.Changed energy on ditto becomes its usual type another pokemon. if opposite a shapeshifted brock's ninetales which has evolved , ditto can still only be brock's ninetales if he has already used transform to be brock's ninetales but he may now use shapeshift to apply another evolutin card. special conditions turn off transform, and ditto goes back to being ditto. If ditto's power is shut off after he did agility, or smokescreen or similiar attacks, the agility ect... still is in affect. Ditto becomes protected by baby power when transforming into a baby. If ditto is put into play as an active, he does not use powers that activate when coming into play. Resolve attacks to ditto before using attached trainers. Ditto has a copy of all of Sabrina's Alakazaam's pokemon power attacks.team battle>You must chose a defending pokemon to transform into. If that defending pokemon or ditto is benched, ditto either becomes the new defending pokemon, or if he returns from the bench himself, he may chose which opponent to transform into now.CHAOS GYM FORMAT>WHEN DIITO BECOMES ACTIVE, FLIP TO SEE WHICH PLAYER HE WILL IMITATE FOR THE REST OF HIS BEING ACTIVE. If ditto retreats, re-assign when he becomes active again. If ditto hits chaos gym, He still is the pokemon of the player he was assigned to.

#6 haunter#6 Haunter> Haunter does not prevent damage to the bench. Heads for transparency prevents damage to haunter, but does not prevent the attack. Transparency works on the bench. Transparency does not prevent pokemon powers. team battle> Transparency works against both oponents.

#13 muk#13 muk> Chain reaction would still trigger when grimer is evolved into muk. Baby powers stay on. Muk does not cancel another muk. Muk does not shut off come into play powers like entei's howl. Toxic gas prevents pokemon powers, poke powers, and poke bodys. Resolve everything in an attack and all effects and powers ect before knocking out muk. The last thing done in a turn is knocked out, previous rulings on muk and what happens next apparently were wrong.
The dragons rulebook, expert rules, section (G), says;
"Do whatever the attack says. Do any damage first, then do any other effects, and finally, knock out any Pokemon that have damage greater than or equal to their hit points."
so when muk is knocked out, That is the end of that turn.
Since muk is knocked out after riptide would put feraligatr's discard energy back into his deck, parasect could not prevent riptide's effect, because muk is knocked out last. But, If muk is affected by a special condition, before kocked out, then muk's power would be shut off.
