"No Kidding!" Amy exclaimed, agreeing! "Wow that was one BIG buck!"

What could of made him do that? He NEVER seemed like the sort of horse which would do this Amy thought, tugging on the lounge line, bringing in Cowboy to calm him.

"Do we have anything on his past?" Amy asked, Lou, storking Cowboy's sweaty neck to calm him. Maybe something in the past happened when he was being lunged. Lots of horses that came to Heartland were like that, it was a ruin to the start of her perfect day...

Lou nodded. "Yeah, we do," she said. "I guess when he was being lounged one person would have th lounge line and the other would carry a whip. Everytime he did something wrong - like going to slow - they would hit him with the whip. And, the would have sidereins, but they would be extremly tight."

Lou frowned and studied Cowboy. The horse wasn'tcalming under Amy's try. He finally ripped away from her and pulled on the lead rope until he was free. He reared, and then took off at a gallop. When the fence got in his way, he made a sharp turn, falling on his side.

Then, he stayed there, laying on his side, breathing hard. Lou jumped off the fence and ran to his side. The horse was sweating, but when Lou kneeled down and tried to help him, he tensed and bit her hand.

"Really?" Amy asked. That seemed pretty harsh to her. Why would someone do that to such a great horse. "Poor guy" she whispered, bringing him closer. She gave him a big pat. "Good Boy. We arent going to do anything like that here. You dont have to worry" she told him.
"Slow down Cowboy!" she hollered as he let go. "Whoa! Steady!"
So much to her perfect day...

Lou dragged her hand away and looked over to Amy. The snorted and tried to get up. Lou stood up also and backed out of the way.

When the horse was on his feet, he hung his head, her breathing slowing back down to normal. Lou approached him, letting him sniff her hand. He did and then Lou rubbed his neck.

"I think he might be okay," Lou called over to Amy. She grabbed the hanging lead rope and only held it in her hand.

OMG lol

Amy looked back at her sister, "Are you ok?!" she asked. She hadnt thought that Cowboy would bite!
"I don't know...." Amy said, softly. "Maybe I'll go look for Ty..."
She backed up a bit after walking up to Cowboy, calmly hand outstretched. "There, there, Bud" she whispered. "Your okay. We're not going to hurt you!" she gave his neck a gentle pat.
"I think we should look into his past a bit more, Lou" Amy suggested. Maybe that'd help us find something! Why would Cowboy act so strangely and all. Amy thought.

Lou shook her head. "No, there's no need for Ty," she said. "I'll bring him back to the barn. I think he's had enough for today."

Cowboy finally stood up after a few minutes. He hung his head and his sides heaved. He sighed and Lou started to walk off. Cowboy followed slowly.

Tabby carefully drove down the long twisting drive to Heartland farm hitched to the back of her truck was a trailer containing two horses, one of them was an abused arabian gelding named Cotton Stockings and the other was a thoroughbred mare named Icy Blueberry. Ice was perfectly fine in every way though the only reason Tabby had brought her along was the keep Cotton quiet. Cotton would only let Tabby touch him if Ice was there so Tabby was bringing him to Heartland in hopes that Amy could do something to win back his confidence in ALL humans when other horses weren't around.

Lou opened the gate to the training pen and left it hanging open behind her. Cowboy was walking still walking slowly. As they neared the barn, his pricked up slightly and so did his pace. Lou slowed him down and then saw that there was a car coming up the drive.
