MY STARTING HEARTLAND ROLEPLAY ((feel free to add onto the story as it takes place))
ok…well here it goes, don’t really got an idea of whats gonna happen. lolz
It was a peaceful, sunny morning as 15 year old, Amy Fleming awoke. She yawned and stretched. Amy took a glance at her clock. The red digits read 6:00. It was time for Amy to start her usual day, her usual schedule on Heartland. Heartland was the beautiful farm, where Amy lived. Heartland wasn’t just an ordinary farm however. Heartland was special to Amy. Her mother had started it. It was a place where they healed horses and healed hearts. Amy got out of bed and quickly changed into her regular barn clothes, an old pair of blue jeans and a sweatshirt. She quickly tied her long, brown hair into a ponytail and crept downstairs. It was still pretty early, so she didn’t expect anyone to really be up, besides maybe her grandpa. Lou, Amy’s older sister, was into horses but not quite as much as Amy. She was still in bed. Amy walked into the kitchen and found in the refrigerator, a chocolate chip muffin and an apple. Amy grabbed them and stuffed the muffin into a plastic bag and held the apple tightly in the palm of her hand. She opened the back door of the house and strolled down to the barn. It was chilly out, even though it was sunny, and Amy was glad she had brought her jacket. Inside the barn, the horses gave her a warm welcome with a neigh. “Hi guys!” She called out. Then setting down her muffin onto a nearby table, she walked over to the feed room and began to make the feeds. Once she was done giving everyone their feed and giving the aisles a quick sweep, she plunked down onto a chair out side the tack room. Amy grabbed her muffin and began unwrapping it. She took a big bite into it. “I see you’ve been hard at work,” a familiar voice called out. Amy turned around. It was Ty. Amy blushed. Amy and Ty were sort of going out. They were good friends and Amy really liked him. “Hey” she replied, timidly. “Mind if I join ya?” Ty asked. Amy shook her head. “Go right ahead” She answered. There was a moment of silence and then Ty said, “Hey, Just remembered. I brought you this,” he handed her a mug of hot cocoa. Amy took it and smiled at him. “Thanks,” she whispered and held the mug tightly. It was warm and soothing. “Well, I need to get back to work,” Ty finally spoke. He got up and just as he was about to leave he leaned forward and gently kissed Amy’s forehead. After he was gone, Amy got up slowly. What a great start to the day, she thought, happily.

Lou, Amy's sister, saw thr younger girl and walked over to her.

"You know that new horse, Cowboy, we got...?" she asked her sister, her voice trailing off and her blue eyes drifting away from Amy.

Amy, looked up from where she was sitting. Looking at her sister's worried face she asked, "Lou, Is something wrong? Yes I know Cowboy. I was going to work with him today!" she exclaimed and put a gentle hand on Lou's shoulder. "Is something the matter?" she repeated.

Lou looked at Amy's face and quickly shook her head. "No, nothing's the matter," she fibbed. "I was going to suggest that you work with him." She flashed Amy a smile.

I should just be out with it! Lou yelled at herself inwardly.

Amy grinned. "Thats a relief," she let out a big sigh. "Thats also a good idea, Lou. Thanks." she set down her cocoa and grabbed a grooming box. She usually started her work off with a new horse by a good groom so she could get to know him or her a little bit. As she took off, heading for his stall she stopped. "Hey, Lou! Why dont you come and help me to?" It might be a nice way for Lou to get more into it with the horses Amy thought.

Lou hesitated for a moment, but then retreated back to into the aisle. She gave Amy a small smile and waited as her sister hook the QH/TB gelding into a set of crossties.

"How calm do you think he is?" Lous asked as she began to curry out his coat. The chestnut gelding turned his head around in the crossties and sniffed Lou's arm. He blew out nosily and began to lip her sleeve.

"Hey, big guy," Lou murmured to him.

Amy returned her smile with a grin. She gave Cowboy a pat before taking out her brushes to give him a good grooming before she worked.

"Oh," she turned around to face Lou. "I think he should be fine. Hes really sweet althought unfortunetly his owners werent. He seems to really like you," Amy observed, rubbing the big chestnut with a curry comb. He stretched out his neck and his lip twitched. Amy smiled. "He seems to like that"

Lou smiled and laughed shortly. "Yeah, he does," she agreed. "Would you mind if I worked with him?"

After the words slipped from her mouth, Lou looked up at Amy and blushed.

Amy looked up with open eyes.she blinked a few timesat Lou
Lou almost NEVER volunteers! I usualy have to push her towards it Amy thought to herself. she put down her brush.

"You mean you work with him alone? Or you help me?" She asked blankly not really knowing what to think of Lou's quick reaction.

"Of course you can help," Amy grinned. "I'm happy to see you're offering! Here help me brush him," she said.

Well, at least we're getting someplace, Lou thought.

"Ever since Dancer got sold, I wasn't really sure I wanted to work with horses again," Lou admitted as she picked out Cowboy's feet. "I mean...Dancer was so nice and calm; there almost wasn't another horse like her. But that's how I saw Cowboy, regardless of what happened to him in his old home."

Awww, Amy thought Poor Lou She titled her head in thought for a moment and rembered how much Dancer and Lou had bonded.

"Yeah Dancer was calm...so nice..." Amy choked out. She had really liked the horse too.

Amy squinted at Lou and blinked back tears. She forced herself to smile and put a gentle calm hand on Lou's shoulder. "I miss Dancer too," she then quickly changed the topic.

"Lets get this show on the road then shall we" She smiled.

"Yes, we shall," Lou said. She dropped the brushes, stepped away and let May do her job.

I wish I was brave like Amy, Lou thought sadly as she followed Cowboy and Amy outside.

Amy lead Cowboy to the arena. it was an extremly nice day out but it was also quite cold out. She also didnt quite know howd Cowboy'd behave outside although she had to admit she didnt think hed do really anything at all he was so calm.

She lead him to the center of the arena and then turned to face Lou. "Ok," she said rubbing her chilly arm with one hand, "Heres what I was thinking...why dont we start by leading him around then maybe try a lunge. we will take turns then see how things all go. If they go well we'll try something else. Ok?" she smiled at Lou.

Lou looked at Cowboy and studied the horse. He was standing contently in one place, looking on over to Amy and Lou. He looked like he wanted to trot on over to them, but yet something was holding him back. Lou saw it; his ears were flicked back and forth and his eyes looked forbidden. Then, Cowboy's ears pricked forward and he stared on a Lou and Amy.

"Okay," Lou said, giving her full attention to Amy now. "But I don't think a join-up will work. Look at him; he looks like he's being punished or something. He doesn't look like a join-up horse."

Lou really didn't know how to explain it to Amy. She sighed. "Go ahead," she said and shooed her sister off without another word. She climbed on the fence and watched.

((OOC: I have an idea for this, so don't do Cowboy's actions. But you can make him walk, trot, canter, buck and etc, but I have something in mind. 8) ))

((ooo....sounds mysterious...secret...lol. YAY! Im glad were making headway!:) ))
Amy looked at her sister and nodded. "That's an excellent point!" she exclaimmed.

"He looks raring to go," she pointed out. "Fetch the lunge whip please, will you Lou? I am not planning to use it of course but just so it's there," she said straping the lunge line to Cowboy's nylon halter.

Oh! Amy thought I really REALLY hope he goes nicely for us, then Lou might think horse trainning isnt so bad and want to help more often. Maybe even she could ride him and Lou too? Possibly?

((OOC: lol, yes yes!! mwhahahahahah))

Lou watched as Amy worked the horse off of the lounge line. Cowboy's attention wasn't on her. He kept swinging his head away from Amy and he was breaking out in a sweat. His tail would swish to and fro every time Amy asked him for a higher pace or to turn or slow down.

"He doesn't like that," Lou mumbled under her breath, although she was sure that Amy was well aware of that.

Cowboy then gave a massive buck and then charged. But, the lounge line applied pressure on him and he slowed.
