Michelle slowed Hickory and looked over at Sherray, with wide-eyes. "I'd love to!" she excalimed. "But I douby Mommy will let me. I'm only 6." She frowned.

Carley smiled over at her. "He was some horse," she replied. She walked over to her daughter and put her on the saddle. She looked over at Andrea. "How old are you again?"

"Yeah but it has seemed like the last 20 years of my life have flashed before my eyes" Andrea said glancing at the bay mare across the aisle.

"It feels like the last six years of my life have flashed before me," Carley said. She covered her daughter's ears. "I had Michelle when I was 16." She followed Andrea's gaze as she released her hands from her daughter's head. "That's Annabelle. We call her Belle."

Looking at the ground she frowned, it was true her mother was a slut not to mention she kept having affairs. For all Andrea knew she had brothers and sisters some where.
"DO you mind if I go back to see Devil" She asked?
Carley didn't answer Andrea. Instead, she studied the young girl carefully. "I didn't mean to offend you," she told her. "I was just generalizing the women figure now-a-days." She then shooed her off. "Go see the horse."
With that, she lead her daughter and Rebel from the barn.

Andrea knew she hadnt been offended, her mother was a slut and she knew it. "No you didn't my mom is s*ut and no one will ever change that" She sighed.
Flashing a breif smile Andrea headed over to the horses stall and stood infront of it. The black horses head poked out, he looked around as if making sure the coast was clear then one Devil knew it was he stretched out towards her a whickered for the carrot she had in her pocket.
"Hey pretty boy, heard your story seems pretty rough yeah i rode someone related to you he was a great horse but i'm sure you even better" Andrea whispered breaking the carrot into bits. Devil's ears pricked foreward as he crunched on one peice at a time.
"Yes i heard all about you how you terrorize the grooms well personally i think you just need to get back on the track and kick some butt like a champions horses butt so you can show them that your much much better" She smiled.
Patting the horse fondly Andrea smiled then rubbed the horse while giving the last bits of the carrot. Devil kept his ears pricked and his expression soft. "I wonder what it would be like to ride you, I bet yout better than Deputy" She whispered scratching his cheek.
Re: Dark Lilac Farm [pg 13]*Caryn quickly rode off of the Cross-Country course with a grin on her face. Now all she needed to do was load up Fiery Cinnamon and she could leave. Just as she was bringing her horse back to the barn she heard a loud and pain filled whinny coming from the stallion barn. She dropped the reins and raced toward the barn. Please not let it be Buddy she loved him SO much.*

Carley led her daughter to a small pasture that they had for the ponies turnout. She went in the middle of the pasture, Rebel following her.

Devil tossed his head from side to side then whinnied loudly. Smiling softly Andrea gave him another carrot then leaned on his stall. Looking out of the barn she sighed as she watched the big farms daily activities go on their ways.
"How can they seem like they nothings wrong when everything is wrong with me" She said to Devil, "Of course they didn't see their favorite horse die in front of them, well maybe some of them but not all of them".
Giving Devil a pat she walked down the barn and into the breeding mare barn. Once agian she found herself crying agian, tears shed over her pretty face. Feeling her cell phone vibrate she quickly picked it up and answered.
"Hello" She said sniffling.
"Hey Andrea it's James" The voice on the other said of the line. Her eyes opened wide and her voice was caught in her throat. Shaking her head as if he was their she choked then gasped.
"What are you calling me for didn't your father tell you never to talk to me agian after what i did" She said enraged in anger. Another tear fell down her face as she waited for the answer. She couldn't believe she was treating James like this, just a month ago they had been all set on getting married now she was acting like a bitter ex... like she was.
"Drea you have got to understand what dad said to me was a lie and i know it" James cried desperately.
"Jams Taylor, your father Jazz told you he thinks i killed her when i didnt i would never kill my favorite horse" She cried then out of frustration she shouted "I cant believe you believed him over me i hate you"!
Without a goodbye she snapped the cell phone shut then sagged to the ground. Her tan face was covered in tears, hair stuck to it. But now Andrea didn't care she was just crying like she had the day she heard James agree with his father.

Carley patted her daughter's knee and smiled. "Then head out," she told her. Mandy did as her said and started in some large circles around her mother.

Looking up she leaned againest the stall and looked at her cell phone. Any moment James would call and Andrea would feel horrible for yelling at him. Gathering up her strength she looked at the cell phone when it finally rang she jumped then slowly picked it up.
"Andrea listen what my father said was wrong I only agreed because I was in shock Sacred Heart was one of my favorites to" James babbled from the other side.
"You may have been in shock but you didn't have to say those nasty things about me infront of your mother or you father" She whispered.
"Andrea i need to speak to you in person please let me see you" JAmes pleaded.
"You cant your at Pine Haven in Florida and i'm here in Kentucky otherwise i might have considered it" She said slowly.
"But thats the good part I am here in Kentuckey visiting Christina and Parker" James said.
"Ok well I'm working at Dark Lilac Famrs so i guess if you wanted we could talk" Andrea sighed standing up.
"Great I'll be their in an hour or so call me if the owners object to it see you then, and Andrea try to keep an open mind see you then" James said then clicked off. Standing their silently she closed her phone then went to find Carley. When she did she put on a brave face then walked up to her.
"Hey Carley i have a question" She called from outside the ring.

* When Caryn arrived at the barn she discovered that it was indeed Buddy. Buddy was standing there in his stall shaking all over. The final stage of the infection from the wound he'd recieved not too long ago was setting in. Buddy was Caryn first and foremost favourite horse of all time and it hurt her dearly to see her beloved horse in such pain and she could do nothing to help him. Buddy collapsed on his knees once she got right outside his stall door and Caryn carefully let herself in to sit by his head. When Buddy caught Caryn's scent he gave a whinny of greeting, but his head drooped even further till it was laying on the stall floor. Caryn picked up his head and cradled it in her lap as his every breath grew weaker and weaker.*
*An hour later Buddy drew his last breath after one last whicker to his best human friend. Caryn sat there crying over the carcass not wanting to move from that spot.*
"Good-bye Buddy, don't worry your memory will always be preserved in my mind." Caryn sobbed loudly as her salty tears wet the cold muzzle of her horse teacher, the horse who taught her how to ride. "I will constantly remember you in my mind."

"Would you mind if one of my friends comes to the farm his name is James Taylor" She said. Saying his name made a tingling sensation run down her spine.
