Jeanie slowed her horse and patted his neck. She then turned him around and headed home to Whitebrook. She managed to sneak back to the farm without being caught.
Once there, she saw a trailer, a rearing horse, her father, Melanie and Christina. There was also a man that she didn't recgonize. She told Rebel is pick up his pace a little bit and the gelding obeyed, making his walk extended and fluid. She reached the scene and the rearing horse, a chestnut, stopped and looked at them. His nostrils were flared and his sides heaving.
Rebel's head lifted and he flicked his ears back Jeanie. She rubbed his neck and dismounted, walking over to them. She stopped and let go of Rebel's reins. She walked over to her father and Rebel followed closely behind her.
"New horse?" she asked him. She moved Rebel out of the way.
Kevin nodded. "Yup, owners didn't want him," he informed her, not taking his eyes off the chestnut. "Said he was too headstrong, didn't listen to anything they taught him. The gelded him, too, and he didn't make any improvement. He's a racer, so they sent him here. Just gave him to Whitebrook like that."
Jeanie looked away from Kevin and stared at the fiery, spirited horse. His handler was trying to keep him on the grounf with Melanie and Christina's help. "Could I work with him?" she asked her father, looking back up at him.
Kevin shrugged. "I'll ask Mel and Chris."

Jaime had finished untacking Dancer when Jeanie showed up, when she saw Jeanie she lead Dancer over there and smile "Taking on a new project eh" She said.
JEanie was known to take on the new trouble horses, but so was Jaime. Jaime would have liked to take on this task herself but she had her hands full with one filly she couldn't possibly take one more trouble maker. "Dont worry mom will let you take him on" She said reushuringly.

Jeanie smiled. "I'd love to take him," she said. "And I sure your mom and Chris let me. But they might think he's too dangerous for me to handle. But I know he's not. I've just got to get through to him--"
"Bring him to a stall!" Kevin yelled to the handler when he finally got the horse to his feet.
Jeanie tugged on Kevin's sleeve. "Can I lead him, please?" she asked her father with begging eyes.
"You're already in enough trouble," Kevin said and waved the handler on.
Jeanie glared at him as the handler walked into the barn, with another groom on the other side, helping to hold the horse down.

Sighing dramatically she looked at Jeanie and said "Ok what i am saying basically is that when mom bough Jinx she knew she would get through to him and she did not only is he still remembered as a legend but he is also a great sire all you have to do is believe in your self and the horse" She smiled. Then she looked over to the stallion barn and saw Jinx galloping around in his pasture looking like the champion he was, even at fourteen the horse still could run his best.

She and Jamie entered the barn and walked down to where a group was gathered in front of a stall. Jeanie quickly slid to the front. The adults weren't really facing the horse, only talking to one an other.
The horse inside stopped kicked his stall and pricked his ears at Jeanie.

Before she went to see the new horse she quickly put Dancer in her pasture and burst into laughter when the filly went off buck and rearing. Walking in the barn she saw Jeanie and the horse staring each other down as if trying not to blink.

The chestnut gelding looked away from Jeanie and looked to Jamie. He then exploded and lunged at the stall, baring his teeth at Jeanie and nipping the air around her. But, Jeanie stood her ground.
"Get away from him, Jeanie!" Kevin yelled at her, ripping her away. The horse pranced to the back of his stall, head and tail high. He also lifted his legs high, like a saddleseat horse.
"Dad!" Jeanie yelled at him. "He wasn't going to hurt me!"
"Well, he could have! I don't want you near him. He's too dangerous."

Dana was just heading back when she got to whitebrook.She dismounted coloud and groomed him once cloud was all set she went to see moonbeam having worked moonbeam earlyr that day she just fed him and groomed him she then went aaround looking for Jeannie and Jaimie "Jaimie?" she called sighing

"Now don't go near him," Kevin told her as he and the rest of the gang turned away from the horse and left the barn.
Jeanie rolled her eyes. She walked back up to the chestnut's stall. He saw her and stopped his prancing. He looked at Jeanie, his ears pinned back and his neck stretched down low. He swished his tail - a clear sign he didn't like Jeanie where she was.
Jeanie only stared at the gelding. He lifted his head and stomped his front hoof, rolling his eyes. He reared in the stall, landed and charged at Jeanie. He went to sink his teeth in her shoulder, but she slapped his nose and he jumped back, looking at her with his ears pricked.
"Watch it, horse," she warned him in a low voice. The chestnut blew out and dropped his head, sniffing the starw in his stall, but keeping his eyes on Jeanie.

Jeanie nodded, but didn't take her eyes off the chestnut gelding. "Yeah, but he's not mine," she said. "I think I might work with him, though ... "
The chestnut's head popped up and he stared at Dana, his ears pinned.
"Hey!" Jeanie yelled at him. He looked at her, ears pricked, and then looked back to Dana. He swished his tail and then dropped his head and started to eat the straw that was for his bedding.
