Re: At Random |PG-13|
((Can I join as my own character?))

Lisa Rinaldi walked over to Whitebrook Stables. she had just moved there and her mother had decided that if she went to the stable and rode her horse it would make her feel better about a new home, school, and life.

She entered the barn and remembered that her horse would be in a stall near the back of the stables. She walked past all of the other horses. They were all beautiful, but her horse would always have a special place in her heart.

For Serendipity was all she had for the past year, she helped get her through it all. She could remember just sitting in her stall for hours, writing or doing her homework- home was never a safe haven. It seemed Lisa was always afraid- afraid of what her dad might do. that's why her mother had moved them to the small house a quarter mile away from Whitebrook. Her father was in a rehab program now, and when he was ready he'd come back., At least that's what her mom told her. She wasn't sure whether she should be relieved that her dad was trying or worried that he'd never change, but wither way, she was stuck here with only Serendipity as her joy.

Lisa went to Serendipity's stall and put down the tack she was holding, and tied her up in her stall before tacking her up. "Come on girl," she said to the red roan thoroughbred, "Let's go for a ride." she lead the mare out of the stables and when she mounted, she noticed a girl and a woman who looked to be her mother, both of them frantic, and a horse. She trotted Serendipity over to the pair, and halted the mare.
"Hi, is there a problem?" she asked, trying to be helpful.

Re: At Random |PG-13|
Serendipity snorted and threw her ehad, eager to run. She was born to jump, and had a need for speed, something that helped her in some situations but hinderd her patience. Neither of the two seemed to hear her, since the wind blew fairly wildly and her horse was starting to paw at the ground. She decided she'd best leave them alone, she ddn't think they'd want her help anyway. No one ever did.

She got Serendipity to trot in her fast-paced way,. and she headed off to a trail that had a few tree trunks ahead from a storm. "Okay, girl, let's try this." she said, and she started cantering. Any other rider might be thrown by Serendipity's speed, but Lisa was used to it. Besides, it was smoother the faster she went. She elaned forward adn stood up in her saddle, giving serendipity full rein,a dn they flew over the four foot trunk like it was a simple log.

She was lucky to have such a fantastic horse. Lisa had been in a pony club at her old barn for a few years, and she had shown against others in the junior level. She had just borrowed a horse form her barn, but soon they became easy to ride and she wasn't learning as much. Her riding teacher suggested that after 6 years, she should pursue her own horse or a lease if she could, if she wanted to show at higher levels.

She remembered that day clearly, the bulletin board on the main show building's wall. The sign that read "Competition jumper for sale. mare, 8 years old. Arabian. fast, jumps an honest 5 feet. could take a advanced rider tot eh top. competed and won in junior levels with 13 year old girl. owner is moving away in a year. take a look at briarwood stableyard."

She had gone over to the temporary show barn for the other competing stable, and had shown them the ad. they brought her to Melissa, the horse's owner, who swore she was a great horse. Then they went to the stall. The horse was beaultiful, and she admired it while she talked to the owner.

It took a while and alot of convincing, but she rode Serendipity every week for a month, then rode her in a junior competition, one she'd already passed, just to try the horse out in a show setting. they'd won it, and a month later, she go her mom to buy Serendipity from Melissa.
