?dairy causing plateau lyndagordy
ive only been lo carbing for a few months. not getting much weight loss evin tho the keto sticks turn dark every day. could it be the dairy or too many calories? i dont cheat at all but do use lots of dairy products , ie lots of cream in the coffee, sour cream and cream cheese and cheese in the low carb recipies. any one have experience with this? im not sure i could live low carb very long if i took away the dairy but i need to know if i should be counting calories in addition to the low carb rules [about 20 to 30 carb grams/day] my typical day would consist of

3 eggs 3 strips of bacon , fried
2 or 3 cups of coffee with lots of cream

salad and meat for lunch with homemade blue cheese dressing

meat and low carb vege for dinner
[often the vege is a recipe such as creamy celery bake or mushrooms stuffed with minced pork, cream cheese and herbs]

plus snacks of meat, cheese, olives, eggs
if i feel the need for sweets i usually mix cream cheese, splenda and a few frozen raspberries

plus lots of water and iced tea with splenda

any comments or suggestions appreciated

Your eating looks ok to me. I never worried about calories and did fine. Though everyone is different. If you suspect your dairy, then that is probably the problem. A lot of times people have instincts that turn out correct even though it may not seem rational. Are you making sure to count the carbs in the dairy. They are low carb, but can add up. I am a cheese person too and could not do the diet without it, and cream. But they do have some carbs and 2 carbs here and 2 carbs there and soon you have 10 carbs.

Hope your diet is working now. Happy low carbing.
