I can't really say any answer is correct on your poll for me.
the only exposure I've had with it is watching the Movie about
Hannah. The child throught the glass door, I know thats not right but I'm sure you know. While watching I thought Erik, my son, would go insane if he were forced to sit at the table like that for more than 1 hour at a time and I'm not sure how many times a day he could do that.
When I went to the autistic center in my area that uses ABA Therapy I got so frustrated because she is another "conventional medical response that thimersol has not
been proven, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.....and when I tried to tell her about the Sensory Learning Institute that treats sensory integration and Mary Bowles the lady who developed this
treatment in Boulder, CO would be willing to come and talk to
her and the people at the Special Needs Clinic, where my son
goes to speech therapy. She never let me get half of that info out of my mouth and cut me off saying we treat sensory integration here several different ways which all i heard was deep pressure. Which I lost all faith in her at that point because the first thing I learned from Mary Bowles was deep pressure treats the symptoms of sensory integration. So I thought how many other people and ideas has she shut out.
Still willing to learn more about ABA if you can help
thanks,
Shelley
