Re: What fun!
Yup those were some fun games. I'm starting to really enjoy lower florin games (8k late; 5k early), so we should try some of those next time.
Re: What fun!
I am beginning to believe you are right Dionysus. 8K games might solve a lot of problems with the imbalanced units. You also can begin to use VOLUME as a viable tactic, taking many cheaper units and wearing down the enemy to where fatigue becomes their downfall. Currently at 10k, it is too easy to buy the overpowered units and you can't counteract this by buying cheaper units to wear them down.
I always like to use fatigue factors against my opponents. Its an area a lot of players do not understand or consider as important, but in the end-game (especially this one) fatigue can be a major factor in determining who wins.
You should do some tests by buying expensive powerful units and sending an army of cheaper, less expensive units against them in a couple of waves and see how effective it can be.
Hammy, I HAD to regain my routing title in that second game! I have a reputation to keep pal. hehe

Along those lines I've done some testing with peasants, using them to tie up incoming cavalry while I flank or shoot. They work pretty well if you can get them in contact with the enemy cav before it gets too close to its intended target.
Some evening we can play some low florin 1v1's and test some stuff out.
