Vote YES for Competitive Hockey in El Paso
There is a solution to the lack of Billy’s ethics. Those of us who are real hockey fans and not fooled by the cheap shot phony fights provided by this year’s goon squad, can vote Billy out of here. A YES vote for the new arena will help insure that Billy is pushed out of this market. Local investors in cooperation with the County of El Paso have already expressed their intent on bringing in an ECHL hockey team to fill the new arena for a guaranteed 20 years of minor league hockey. This will work the same way it did in San Antonio, which forced the Iguanas out of business. A YES vote will serve three purposes. It will get us El Pasoans a new arena. It will insure that we have hockey in this town for twenty years and best of all it will send Billy boy a packing. So do your civic duty and vote YES to bring back competitive hockey to this town.
We need schools and better pay for teachers; minor league hockey will survive on its own. This level of hockey is so putrid that it really is not hockey anyway. To vote yes on an arena the site of which is not even agreed upon is so foolish as to make me laugh.
