Vendor macroing
If you notice something weird like one of the cloth or sage merchants with 200 pairs of shoes/rings with lots of junk, I'm playing around with macroing the fast items (shoes, rings, wands, staves, etc.) ... and I'll watch out for the maintenance time as well so that it doesn't deplete everything.

Re: Vendor macroing
Everything worked great last night... went through 1.2mil worth of rings by the time the server reset. Unfortunately I was really sleepy and deleted 2 ivory of bardsong and an ivory of wizardry. Too bad there's no undo :-(. My computer seems to have crawled to a halt this morning and the macro screwed up and nothing got done. Hopefully this afternoon will fare better. 5 hours is going to be a challenge.

Re: Vendor macroing
I couldn't wait that long and took a quick break back to my apartment (I work across the street). A lapis ring of bardsong had rolled. Yaa! A lot of these things I'm not real familiar with, so I just culled out all the single-stats and obvious duds. Since you're the king of templates, I'll leave it to you to judge which others are any good. Personally, I don't have much use for any of them. I've noticed a few shoppers around lately. No telling what good stuff is rolling and being bought at cheap prices, but I guess we wouldn't have had it anyway and maybe its good for the neighbors to think we're useful. I assume our obvious enemies are KOS to the guards/vendors.

We don't have any enemies really.. we're so nice.

Those Lapis of Channelling rings look real sweet :) We might want those priced high...

Maybe we should get a Tent in Hardby, and start selling the Uber Jewelry you will be rolling! Either that or make life interesting and rank the Tree to 5, and open it.

Price everything as you think it should be. I'm really out of touch with what things do and what they're worth. As far as the tent goes, I'd help with it but my interest in SB wanes like the moon. The open tree thing might attract trouble and a bane that we couldn't deal with.

Tonight I'll work on running both sages at once. that should be rather insane since we're already turning out a couple hundred rings a day.

What guilds are good these days? I've been thinking about Silvermoon for the benefits of having a lot of people on all the time.

Re: Vendor macroing
I think Silvermoon has the zerg tag - GF is smaller and closer geographically. If we signed up with Silvermoon we'd get baned in a second.

If you are thinking about building a toon to join them, then I have no real feel for which is better - SM is less random Pk'ish than GF, from what I've observed, but they also have the Zerg label.

Yeah - I agree - I cant get enough energy to play it at the moment. If you get a toon into one of the other guilds maybe I could be persuaded to roll an Elf Fury for a laugh. I kind of want to keep Ash and Ash's Handmaiden with the town atm.

Re: Vendor macroing
hmmm.. I was more thinking moving Minstrel to another guild. I wasn't thinking about subbing to anyone. I guess the main worry would be someone from Buc's Den recognizing me, but I don't think they'd target SilverHand just because this char used to be in it. I don't think I can deal with leveling a toon, so I've got to find some place to move her. I suppose I'll wait to see who wins the SM-vs-GF bane. Another reason against the open city is that rolling stuff like this relies heavily on noone doing any shopping until I can get around to sorting through everything and identifying the good stuff.

[edit] So, what's the information on this tent thing? How do you do it?

Re: Vendor macroing
Hmm, the tent thing - look in the Test Server forum for Hardby or Narcissa (the owner). Basically you rent a tent, and put what ever you want for sale on the Merchant in it. I think they were full last time I saw it.

Nice name for the Fury :)
