Todays Devotion - 1/10
Today's Devotion - 1/10/2007

"Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing." (Psalm 100:2)

Today's Thought

"Serve the Lord with gladness" . . . not with a frown, not out of habit, not even out of the feeling of "duty", but serve Him with gladness! To serve Him is a privilege; one that we should never take lightly for it is only by His mercy and grace that we even have the opportunity to serve such a Holy, Mighty, Awesome God!

"Come before His presence with singing!" Have a song in your heart at all times . . . and enjoy the presence of the Lord all the day long! You need not bellow out loud tunes to enjoy the presence of the Lord, but have an attitude of praise in your heart . . . deep within the recesses of your inner man, a song can be sung all day, day after day. And, for sure, your face will show it . . . your attitudes will reflect it . . . your countenance will tell the whole story!

Do you ever wonder why Christians are singled out? If they have a song in their heart and serve Him with gladness, their face gives them away! So, tell the world you love Him by serving Him and keeping a song of praise in your heart at all times. This truly is a sermon that can be preached without ever speaking a word . . . a sermon that will grasp the attention of even the hardest of sinners!

Today's Prayer

Father, I do love you and desire to serve You with gladness . . . with a song in my heart all day long. Father, remind me when I am overwhelmed by life's situations that You have never left me and all I need to do is begin to sing . . . in my heart . . . to put on a smile while I serve You in my family, in my job, in my ministry, in my life! Help me to preach that sermon without words everywhere I go, every day of my life, so You will be glorified in all that I do and say for You! Amen!

“For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.” (Psalm 92:4)
