Shows 11/6 & 11/9
I thought I'd take a stab at posting an entry on this message board. We established this new message board and never announced that we did so barely anyone has posted much. If you are reading this then please show us that you are lurking by posting a nice message or even a question that you desperately need answered.
11/6 - Rick's (East Lansing, MI) -
This was our first time headlining out in East Lansing. Pretty good turnout for a Wednesday night. I, unfortunately, started to come down with pretty massive cold symptoms (sore throat, sinus congestion, and headache). NOT GOOD. I battled through the show though, and by the grace of God, was able to still sing even with a badly swollen throat. Another factor working against us was the fact that we forgot to pack Mike's Les Paul (guitar), and he had to the entire show with his JS and my Strat. The show as a whole was alright. We were pretty rusty from not playing live for over a month, and without practice. Stage sound was pretty bad so our interpretation of what we were playing was pretty crappy, but the sound the audience was hearing was supposedly a lot better. It took a bit of time to get the crowd going, but the entire last half of the set we broke into a more comfortable groove and fired things up a bit. We encored with Led Zep's, Rock & Roll, which hasn't been featured in Greenstreet's repertoire in quite some time. We closed the night but some steady persuasion from the audience kept me up to play a solo version of one of Greenstreet's firsts, On the Weekend. The song featured an impromptu, and welcomed vocal support from AJ of Roundabout Way. Speaking of Roundabout Way, it was great playing with them again. It was the first time in a real long time, and it was amazing to see how much they have matured as a band and musicians. They played a good set.

I agitated my cold symptoms pretty badly playing that show which left me bed ridden the next day. I hadn't been sick in a real long time. Fortunately, the show we had scheduled in Ann Arbor for Friday night was canceled a month prior, and a disaster was averted.
11/9 - Hard Rock Cafe (Cleveland, OH) -
Feeling a ton better, we packed up the van and headed off to Cleveland Saturday morning. We got there pretty early in the day and spent much of our time at the Tower City Mall, which the Hard Rock Cafe is located. Some of us split off and went down the street to check into the hotel and clean up for the show. We started loading in for the show, not really knowing what to expect. By day, the Hard Rock Cafe is its typical restaurant atmosphere, but at night on the weekends, they transform the upstairs mainfloor into a music venue and it's quite a production to see them do the transformation while everyone is still in there eating. The sound guys were a little bit late getting the show set-up but we finally took the stage only a few minutes late of our start time. We all thought the show was headed for demise when I broke a string in the opening song, Remembered. Miraculously however, the rest of the guys broke into a stellar and very impromptu version of Pride and Joy while I restrung. The amazing cover up gave us the confidence we needed to play probably one of the best shows we have played in a while, knocking through our strongest arsenal of upbeat songs. It was great playing a strong show in a new market that we have never played previously, and we ended up having a really fun night. Our thanks really goes out to the band Genuine Son for having us come out and play with them, and not killing us for not going 20 minutes over what they wanted us to play. We had a lot of fun during their set and they sounded great. Also, a lot of thanks goes out to friends, the infamous Tox Relox, and Jackie for coming all the way from Michigan to enjoy the show and help take pictures. Also, my cousin Jessica who also came from Michigan to celebrate her 21st Birthday with her friend Amber. And last but not least, our new favorite bunch of dancing Ohio girls who came out in a big group to celebrate their friend, Kristin's, birthday as well. See you all soon and I am glad we saved the goldfish!

**Quick side note for fun, years ago, 1998 more specifically, Chris and I ventured to Cleveland with two other friends for the weekend. After checking out the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, we ate at the same Hard Rock Cafe we played at this weekend. To make a long story short, we had our lunch seated on the stage and all of a sudden they had this contest where everyone had to dance at their table. I got up on the rails and hung from the ceiling, making an absolute idiot out of myself, but won the contest and a free Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt. Funny coincidence we played a show on the same stage**
