Ok, there is just something that I have got to get off my chest. It seems that it is the commonly understood fact that the home team feeds the opposing team. I think this is a good thing. It doesn't matter who wins or loses, and it doesn't matter if you only play each other once. Well, tonight we had a very good meal prepared and all set up for Fort Worth, and what happened---only 2 guys came out to get any of it (and 1 of them didn't even get any food). One of them let us know that someone had brought hamburgers to them. Even the equipment guy even came and got a plate, and then another guy was in the middle of getting his when the trainer yelled from 10 yards away "We are stopping, c'mon, NOW!!!" What is up with that!!!! I, (as well as alot of others), took this as very disrespectful. I mean think about it....we only play you guys once (tonight) so it's not like you were gonna have the chance to *feed* us in return. But did we use that as an *excuse* not to feed you...NO. We still had *home-cooked* food all set up, hot and ready. For what? People go through the trouble of cooking good food, as well as the time and money put into it. I think the least that could be done is come and get a plate and take it with you. Again, it doesn't matter who won or lost...at least have the common decency and respect to show some appreciation for the fact that someone took the time to do that. I would send an email to the booster club, but being that there apparently isnt one--I will have to settle for this

I don't believe the Saints booster club feeds either team, home or visitor. I asked a member at the game 2 weeks ago and she said they don't have the money to even feed their guys. I'm not sure the statement, it's common knowledge all teams do this, is correct. Did you check with other team club's or was this a discussion at the Booster Club convention?? Did anyone with the JackPack contact the Brahmas office, media guy, equipment manager etc to confirm they would have time to stay and eat?
I have experience in this area for the last 2 years of our pro baseball league in Angelo. We feed both teams at least once during a series here. Since the opponents are in town for a 3-4 game series we can't afford to do it every night but we choose the best night possible. We contact their office, media guy and tell the coach prior to the game as a reminder. Not all players can come out to eat. Some are getting injury treatments, instructions from coach, equipment repairs or making personal phone calls to home etc. We go on the basis that we prepare enough for all and those who don't show up ....it's their loss. We do our best to notify the visitors days in advance including prior to the game that night. Whatever leftovers were sent home with our home team to enjoy at their apartments. WE just bring those Glad throw-away storage containers and figure we fed our guys twice that way. And please also remember, these guys are not always fond of the menu choice either. Sure it's a free meal but if it's not to their liking why take food to throw it away?? We have that problem feeding the baseball teams so I'm sure it's no different with hockey. You can't please everybody but we just don't get too offended.
The Brahmas do have a Booster club and it's operated by Mrs. Todd Lalonde. They did away with their Rowdy Crowd official fan club from the last several years and started their own ran by the team.

Yes, the equiptment manager knew (he even got a plate before the trainer made him hurry up and leave) and the orginazation knew as well! This was something that the *League* set up. It is meant as a show of sportsmanship and to save the guys from having to spend their own money to eat. I don't know what teams aren't doing it, but it is something that they are all *suppose* to do. I know that the menu choice isn't always something that everyone likes, but with a big variety...you would definantly think more then just 3 guys would have at least came out and looked. As far as the injured parts go...the one with the biggest injury was one of the 3 to come out!! But yes, it was pre-arranged by our Booster Club President!
Also, it isn't coming just out of the *Jacks* part financially....these are actual fans that are buying and preparing this food.
