Should we move to Invision? Should I set up a new board at invision, where we don't have to worry about the complicated membership process, paying for membership "gold status," or hunting down limechip to turn off censorship?Show results

Like I mentioned in announcements, censorship can't be turned off until we buy the "gold status" @#%$. Which just ain't @#%$ worth the motherfucking trouble.

I have no idea what should arise from the dust. I do know I find the wisdom and wit of the closeknit group at the center of the old group provided me with many moments of entertainment and even provoked both of my three remaining braincells to grind together and think the poop out. I hope whatever transpires will br fabulous and easy to navigate. Do I smell panties?

I don't get the censorship issue - aparently using the MF word is OK and the site itself has ads for hardcore website with nekkid women with boobs barely covered (can I say boobs?)
I read Catch with the kids around, I can't come to this site if there are gonna ads like that.
My general problem is this site has too many of its own ads. For $8/month we could have a site like this bbs.chrismoore.com/ which is ad free

Thanks, Limechip, for looking into the censorship issue.
Essentially it's free (for the time being, then super cheap but we hopefully will have begun a better site by then), without ads, without censors, doesn't require individual annual gold memberships for particular benefits, and is more flexible in terms of design.
Plus you can grant other users "mana" and take away "mana" if they piss you off, thereby launching us all into a competition for each other's love.
We don't have to move there; it's just an option. Basically, I was bored and restless and wanting to do something about the impending cutoff date. Ideally, there'd be a new site entirely by friday, I'm just ... feeling type-y.

On the other hand, staying at EZ Board might be simpler, as everybody's already familiar with it.

It sounds like the raunchy ads are a problem for several people, and they're bugging the @#%$ out of me.
