I found it to be 100% choice grade AA hillarity! I laughed my
ass off the whole read. The conjured imagery was funny as
hell, and welcomed, as I've been sick and needed a
good laugh.

I find humor at others possible birth defects, to be gross and unkind. I was born with a very slim body and had to deal with "skinny" for most of my life growing up( until I started lifting weights)then things were a little different.
There are other ways to get a laugh, than making fun of other peoples physical misfortunes. He wasn't bad with the metaphores though, his writing is descriptive and pretty good.
Shoulda picked a different subject though..
I know, many will find humor here, but some will find hurt.

Hmm, thats a very interesting view point, King.
But to me theres a distinct difference between
joking about a specific person, and joking about
a human condition in general--especially when its
obviously greatly exaggerated. lol
Such exaggeration is what good comedy is all about.
I took this story as completely fictitious, and not even
specifically directed at overweight people.
Moreover, to me his use of a greatly enhanced vocabulary
increased its humorous tone 2fold. lol
I dont consider myself at all to be a mean person, Im
empathetic and compassionate with most creatures,
yet Ive been known to both laugh at and tell an ethnic
joke or two, while I maintain friendships of different
nationalities. Im Irish, yet I laugh at the several
"Dumb-Irish" jokes going round the net right now.
I have a Polish cousin who has a list of hundreds
of Polish jokes. My personal line is drawn at poking fun
meanly at a specific person, when their feelings
can be hurt. For instance, if I am PERSONALLY treated badly
because of an Irish heritage, that is a different matter.

I grew up the opposite--I was a rather chubby kid, with
long stringy hair, few friends and no positive attention
from girls, while my interest in THEM was off the scale. lol
I was bullied and razzed every waking day. I favored
other underdogs of course, and even now I have the urge
now and then to look some of those assholes up and
make em say "Mamaaaaaaa!!" lmao. So I know the drill there,
amigo. And to be truthful, I could stand to lose an ample
handful of pounds even now.
(And yes, a bit of weighthefting would prob help me too. :-)

I think anyone whos actually HURT by this joke is being a
bit too sensative, even if they really are as big as four
states. lol Which is unlikely.

You and I would very probably have been very good friends if we had grown up in the same neighborhood.(hood?) My interests in girls was way outta proportion also. I became a sexual obsessive (still am! but more jaded now.) Sticking up for my friends and fighting the bullies was the fun part of being friends with the underdogs. Damn!!! there are a few good memories of Kick-ass there.....
