Rules for adding NPCs.
To begin with, NPCs are characters that do not play a large role in the entire scheme of things. They are usually owners of taverns, bars, inns, and other businesses not owned by an individual character. NPCs are easily made to advance the movement of a post or to add more interest to a thread. Often times, NPCs are played in the same post as a primary character for added support and conversation.
Da Rules
1. NPCs are the sole property of the creator. Though other players may have the right to "rent them out" so to speak, they should never be harmed, hurt, maimed, or killed. It's all up to the original owner.
2. Go through the proper process of adding a NPC. They don't usually need approval, but I will be checking up on them to certify that they are not the uber-powerful-anti-Christ-demon-of-Gob-and-Whore-of-Babylon.
3. A text change should accure while using an NPC to avoid confusion between it and the main character(s).
4. NPCs should not have played a signifcant role in a group--or the war--unless approved by an admin.
5. NPCs are used by different characters. So if your character has interacted with an NPC in this forum, please add a reply to the original NPC thread and include a list of the people they've met and on which date. I (the Admin) will then edit the 2nd post in the thread and add your interactions to the list.
"The white city fell without her. Peace revolved around her, but when the mother left her children, they destroyed one another... She'll never forget that she left--she'll wear the chains of the martyr as she pulls the world's weight behind her, still thinking she's not doing enough." Morrigan Aensland
Re: Rules for adding NPCs.
Joey the NPC (owned by Seth) was played in the thread "Garden Theiving" on January 12, 311. In the thread, he met the Donia, Michael, Chance, and Crystal
Like that, so people know who your character knows already when they play them. if they pick up Joey later, they can reference that thread and go "OH! Okay, so that's how he knows Chance!" make sense?
