Yes, I've been on my way back to my body and had the "so and so would like to rez you" message pop on from some kind passerby and I accept and it works.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I was in on a conversation where one person was arguing that it couldn't be done, and someone else said it can be done as long as the spirit is within a certain proximity to the body, and someone else said it's the priest and spirit (not the body) that have to be near each other. Sheesh! I stayed out of it...I was fairly certain it could be done, but I don't know all the particulars.

releasing your spirit during the cast of the rez will interupt the rez cast, but you can still be rezzed if the priest re-casts. That's about the only conflict. The priest will get a "failed" message. Just try again.

I do know, however, that I have had difficulties in certain instances if a person has released already. I'm not sure if that was a bug or as intended, but on some occasions, people had to run back because they had already released in an instance.

I haven't seen this problem personally, not with the person just releasing, but if they enter the instance, they effectively rez themselves...could that be what happened there Maeve?

I really can't remember, to be honest. This was several months ago when I last experienced this. It may have been a bug in a certain instance, perhaps? Not sure, I just remember a few occasions where we couldn't get the person to rez. I have had some instances where it was impossible to target the person too. This was with me as well as some other rezzers there at the time, so I assume that was some sort of bug as well. I have only experienced this in instances though. Otherwise, you can rez a person after release and that is always supposed to be the case to the best of my knowledge.

If a person dies in an instance, and runs back through the entrance before they are rezzed by someone inside the instance, their body disappears and they are returned to life at the beginning of the instance, not where they died. The priest is unable to do anything about it then; time to call the warlock for a summon.
Can a priest rez someone after they've released their spirit?
