Organizationally Challenged
Summary: Really short one-shot. See title for summary.
Rating: G , Trainee
Notes: I actually have a Garfield poster up on my wall that says this, and I saw it and had to do a fic. Written in like ten minutes. No beta, all mistakes are mine, as always.

"Catherine, would you mind getting the folder off my desk, please?"
"Sure."
Now, standing in front of the desk that looked like a miniature tornado went through it, Catherine was regretting her answer. Sure, if it was any other desk, she would be able to find the missing folder in a heartbeat. But with Gil's desk, it might not be til next year. Sighing, Catherine took a step forward and began sorting through miscellaneous folders and paperwork. After about five minutes of fruitless searching, Gil appeared in front of her.
"You're still here?"
"Where else would I be. Seriously Gil, I have checked every inch of this desk."
"Did you check the bottom left drawer?"
"What?"
"Did you check the-"
"Yes, I heard what you said. Why would it be in that drawer. That's where-"
"Just check it Catherine."
She did, and thirty seconds later, popped back up, no folder in hand.
"See?"
"All right. Here. Let's go over the top of the desk again. I could have sworn I laid it..."
They went methodicly over the desk and found it about a minute later.
"Finally!" Catherine said, standing up and holding the illusive folder.
She crossed to the opposite side to hand it to him.
"Really, Gil. You are ridiculously messy."
He held a hand over his heart, and acted hurt.
"I am wounded, Catherine. Besides, I am not messy; I'm orginazationally challenged."
Catherine made a face, then doubled over in laughter. Her laughter slowed in a minute or two, but still wasn't completely gone.
"Organizationally challenged, Gil? Only you would think of that."
"What? I thought it sounded rather...special."
"You're special alright." She said with a grin, "But that's why I love you."
Winking at her, he said, "That's good. Now, come on, we have a case to work on."
Gil walked out ahead of her, and Catherine stayed for a few seconds.
"Workaholic."
"I heard that!"
