Hi ladies.
This forum was especially created for YOU.
More specifically, for those of you who want to get involved in the wallfic idea, as launched in the wonderful graphics department of Ka-bloom.
As we all know, our beloved board can't host fics, the moderation of those alone would take up way to much time of the PEFIC. Besides, Ka-bloom is such a BIG place, that even if just 10% of the population writes fics, the fic section alone would be huge.
As I understood it, that's why BFF was created, but THAT great place might have problems with the posting of graphics.
SOO.. we thought it a good idea to use this weird lil neck of the cyberspace woods for it.
Maybe some explanations are in order. Maneater United is a spin-off of the Legolas Greenleaf Community. My wonderful friend and co-conspirator Kailawen Everwood (lovingly known as Kaizer or Kai) and me started Maneater as a bit of a joke.
After lengthy discussions (and lots of teasing) about our devotion to the various men of LOTR (mine being Legolas/Orlando ) we started our "representation" of said various men. Thus the term Maneater United came into being. The word "maneater" originated in a song, originally by Darryl Hall and John Oates, called Maneater.
Jokes were made, nicknames were given, graphics were created and even fics were written. All in all we had a fun time.
After a while we were joined by a few other "obsessed"-ones, but the place always remained pretty low-profile.
Whatever you see around here (in case you want to wander around), take it all with a grain of salt. Well, lots of salt actually. Nothing serious, no endeavour whatsoever to reach a certain standard or level of greatness, just a silly little thing.
BUT!
There are rules. Not many, but those we stated in this post go.
The "rules" to Maneater United
But I know my Ka-bloomie sisters are of the highest moral standard and don't even need that reminder.
Much love,
Ellen
