Nervous -jumps up and down-
My show is this Saturday. MEEP!!! I've never done hunter, and my mom has been yelling at me because I "suck." AHHHHH!!!
I'll be happy with a pink. Lol. Show starts at 12, so I can sleep until about 8 lol. Dance ends at 11. I'll get to sleep by 12:3-1:00. Thats about 7 hours. Lol
Wish me luck!!!!! Lol.
I only signed up for three classes. Walk, trot, canter, Short Stirrup, and Novice(3'0). My mom is hoping that the Novice class with help me. Lol. Short Stirrup with be interesting...lol. And walk, trot, canter... Ha ha, this will be soooooooooooooooo funny!!!!
lol. I would've done better if I wasn't so miserable(I'll tell you about that later), but we did alright.
We placed 7th(there were 11 competitors) in short saddle. I was kind of unbalanced in the saddle, and Icy must've have realized that because she refused a few times.
We placed 4th in Walk, trot, and canter(yays!). Icy had some terrible gait problems(with her trot) and I couldn't get it under control(oops!) but, we ended up doing well. Just got to improve her trot. Where's the poles? lol
And we placed 1st(extra yays!) in Novice(3'0). Yup. Novice was fun. Icy thoroughly enjoyed it. I think she liked going over the jumps at a fast canter/slow gallop(she kept switching on me! grr, luckily the judges didn't notice ha ha)...maybe I should try showjumping with her. lol. Or eventing...she'd love cross country lol.
Short Saddle...-rolls eyes- Icy almost dumped me in the mud when she refused. I couldn't stay balanced at all!!!!! Lol, she's trotting her choppy trot all over and I couldn't find the center of balance on the darn saddle. Lol...
Walk, trot, and canter was alright. Like I said, she has gait problems and we needd to work her on the poles. Improve her trot, yup
When the judges came out to inspect the horse for their conformation and all that junk, I swear, I thought I would faint. The judge who looked at Icy was a male, and as some of you know, Icy was abused by a man when she was a racehorse. I thought she would rear or spook. I told the guy, "Listen, my mare has some bad expirences with men, and I haven't gotten her quite out of the thing about men. She was abused by men, and I just think that for your safety and for others, aybe you should get a female judge." Thank the Lord he listened lol.
But we placed 5th overall, and so I'm happy. Icy was great, me, well, I think we would've done better if I wasn't so miserable and tried to have fun. My mom is happy, because she finally "got through" to me. Ha ha...no. So yea...
