Marketing Ideas
Just curious what you all have been doing to promote Kingstreet? I'm a fan of another indie band and one of the great ideas suggested on that board was to write (in this case) www.kingstreetcrossing.com on every check and dollar bill you put through the system. With the new release, it seemed like a good time to kick up the grassroots effort a notch or two. Any other ideas?

Those are some excellent ideas.
We have used the Kingstreet Chicken (someone in a chicken suit w/ a Kingstreet shirt on) to pass out flyers and hold up signs, and that certainly has got some attention.
I like the idea of putting the website on currency, etc; for those that want to do that, keep in mind that we've changed the official URL to www.kingstreetmusic.com.
Definitely interested in more marketing ideas that may have worked for other bands, so keep 'em coming!
