Re: Magic Bag Show - 7/6/05
We're extremely honored that you guys enjoyed the show. We were hoping Blue Merle's crowd would be receptive, considering we're slightly different from their sound. I thought the audience was great though, and that helped out a lot.
Anna, it was our pleasure to have you as a guest. Enjoy the CD and please come around and see us again. It was very nice meeting you.
As for California, we get this question a lot so hopefully I'm good at answering it by now. Pretty much, California is somewhat of an old song (written in the summer of '03). We created a free CD Sampler last summer that included it as one of the songs and distributed it at shows. We stopped printing the free samplers when we finished the EP. A lot of different factors went into choosing the tracks for the EP. California didn't make the final cut, not because it wasn't good enough, but because it didn't fit the mood/vibe of the EP. So that was the final call, eventually. A lot of people may be disapointed or may not agree with it, but what can we say? That's how it went down. When we put out the entire album, however, that'll probably change. We just need the support of cool people like you guys in order to get that album out.
There is still downloads of that sampler recording available on the Fresh Tracks Music website. Just find our page on the website and you should be able to download it for free.
Hope I answered your question. Now, time for bed. Just got back from our show in Detroit and still have 3 more to go this week. Need my rest.
