We are up for the match as well and thanks for your patience, but here is the response to the terms:
1) With the maps, they seem ok but there are 5 little changes to eras and climates we propose, they are in capitals:
Game1: (1 vs 1) High, Patay, Winter.
Game2: (1 vs 1) Late, Carcano, Summer, Lush.
Game3: (1 vs 1) High, PlainsInlands01, Summer, Temperate.
Game4: (2 vs 2) LATE , CampaignMilan, Spring, LUSH.
Game5: (2 vs 2) Late, FlatInlands19, Spring, DESERT.
Game6: (3 vs 3) LATE, PlainsInlands04, Summer, LUSH.
Hope these are okay
2) You have written...
'each player may only play in 2 games maximum'
I haven't personally seen this in the rules anywhere, and whether i am wrong or not we dont see this rule as necessary and would like to ignore it
3) Do you really need Art to be allowed?
We would rather it wasn't
4) Times....saturdays and sundays seem decent but we will have to look at times more closely because there are 3 time zones involved, US, UK, and DU (Down Under!)
5) Finally, have you downloaded the warbelt calculator yet?
We are having problems with this.
Thanks Aero, Hope it all looks ok and we can get on to deciding the teams... :O)
Re: ME vs. LMAO
2 games max/player was a deduction from the fact that there must be atleset 5 participants and at most 10. Since there are 10 spots to fill, that means 2 games max for each player unless you guys choose to be unbalanced. Each member of our clan will only be playing once unless we are forced to use an alternate in the case someone doesnt' show up. With reference to the change in climates, I'd like to see the 3 vs 3 held in arid as it gives no climage bonus to any of the factions and I believe this would be the most fair, and most fun! A week from this saturdday would be a good time, does this work for you?
overall:
1. change last game to high arid
2. you must have atleast 5 people participate in the games, but you can have 1 or 2 play 3 games.
3. Week from saturday proposed match time. Usually 2-8 EST works well for us.
4. No artillery is fine.
5. I got the tool to work for mtw, but not vi. If you follow the instructions it should work for you.
Game1: (1 vs 1) High, Patay, Winter.
Game2: (1 vs 1) Late, Carcano, Summer, Lush.
Game3: (1 vs 1) High, PlainsInlands01, Summer, Temperate.
Game4: (2 vs 2) Early, CampaignMilan, Spring, Lush.
Game5: (2 vs 2) Late, FlatInlands19, Spring, Desert.
Game6: (3 vs 3) High, PlainsInlands04, Summer, Arid.
Re: ME vs. LMAO
Calculator should work for VI and MTW, only in VI errors will come up if new units are involved (it was not updated to include pictures of the new units.) It still works though, except an error comes up and the pictures don't show.
If you downloaded it on XP, it does say on the dowload instruction that you need some OCX files too, which are there too.
Re: scared?
We are waiting for Monkey to get it all finalised! This is his pet project! (lumey and I have more pressing matters at hand, like spamming heaps of forums )
Re: scared?
Hello all, here i am again, sorry for the wait, i have had to set up a temporary account because i am away from my house and my own details and i'm in the marvellous city of Bristol where i am having musical delights.
Anyway...back to business.......
Aero, thanks for your reply.
Out of your points here...
overall:
1. that's fine
2. fine
3. about dates...Arent we meant to work out who is playing who before we work out when they play eachother?
4. fine.
5. we'll all givethe download a good go and work it out
Cool, we'll get there in the end.
As a note to all, can we try and keep this thread pretty lean and to the point and confine all goading and general verbal spanking to our marvellous websites,
cheers buddies
Aero we have already drafted our teams up,
look forward to working it all out
i am sure the first round of 1v1's could be very very soon, as soon as we sorted out the whole player schedule, and the download calculator. I will speak to the others about that last point and see how they've gone.
Finally please spare a thougt to the fact that time zones mightnot always bewhat you expect. But each match can work their times out between eachother as long as they stay in the right order.
Cool.
rock!
