Appearance:
Lerex is a rather intimidatingly tall man, though not of abnormal height. His body is muscular, but not overbearing; his skin tan, but not dark. His ears come to a slight point, barely peeking out from underneath his short, well-groomed, feathery hair. Lerex most often wears a stern expression, with his piercing violet eyes echoing a stiff mood, though at times those same violet eyes betray his expression and reveal a warm heart.
Personality:
Lerex does his best to be diplomatic and get right down to work. He’ll often act very stern, but can be explosive and argumentative at times. He holds a soft spot for children in his heart; a sense of innocence tends to make it hard for him to be stern to the young. When attempting to reach out or apologize to another person, he often bumbles around and finds the term ‘I’m sorry’ very hard to speak. The majority of the time when dealing with women, he is either completely oblivious or gives up and allows them to prattle on. If he does not allow the woman to prattle, he generally ends up saying something blockheaded and insensitive which makes everything worse. Lerex is also very loyal, though not always vocal. Even with the most intensely grating person, he will not hesitate to defend their life. Despite his often stern expression, children are often drawn to him—especially once he has adopted his wolf form.
Biography: Lerex was born in the world of Vareten, on the continent of Laermyre, in the town of Loringsdale. His father was a potty, worry-wart who was highly respected in society, mostly due to his ability to find and sell rare trinkets. Their family home was located in the richer half of town, with a garden in the center which he shaped himself. He and his older sister would spend most of their time in the garden, until the demons broke in.
On the night of Aralia Proudstorme’s 19th birthday, a slew of demons tore through the roof of the family’s home, sending the party of wealthy townsfolk into a frenzy so chaotic it had allowed them to locate and kidnap the girl. Lerex did his best that night, fighting off what he could in his feral wolf form. Despite his, and the Loringsdale guard’s, efforts, Aralia was lost.
That same night, three townsfolk had attempted to help reclaim his sister. Though the attempt was failed, his father hired the three to attempt to fetch her. This included the brawler, Thenton Oxmire; the fiery warrior dame, Ko; and the timid twin brother of Ko, Kai.
Lerex traveled with Thenton, Kai, and Ko under his father’s wishes, experiencing many battles and grave hardships until they finally came upon the burning demon castle in which Aralia had been taken captive. Amidst the heat of the final battle, Lerex threw himself in front of Ko, taking a deathblow that had been meant for her.
Since his rebirth into the afterlife, Lerex has remained rather quiet about his past, and extremely bitter. When questioned about it, he frequently storms off to spend his time raising gardens.
Powers, if any: Wolf form is Lerex’s only mastered transformation. He can occasionally turn into various other animals, but never fight in those forms. As is traditional with the druids of Laerymyre, Lerex has mastered the ability to raise roots as protective shields. He rarely uses plant life for combat, and will only gain full effect depending on how long he has spent time with the plant life of a particular area. When shifting out of wolf form, he will raise a dome of vines to cover himself.
