Legault - Attempt to Injure
Word around the Bat Cave early on was that Legault wanted to fight Rayz dman Brett Colburne because of his broken foot due to Brett's slash last month. Since Ken Goetz took on Legault in the only official fight of the evening, with only a 1:04 minute left in the 3rd, Legualt attacked from the blue line, sucker punching Brett in the head and knocking him out in the far corner!! The puck was no where in the vicinty of Brett when Legault took his retaliation. I hope the league looks real close at the tape and takes appropriate action. Even the Bats fans near me were sickened by the assault!!!!

Saying it was an attempt to injure is wrong, Legz doesn't play that way! Legault is a tough cookie and the Rayz were asking for it!! They really pissed him off last night, especially Goetz!! Anyone can admit that last night HE was all talk and NO action!

But the REF saw it as an intent to injure Colbourne, Batgal!! Bats fans around me were disgusted by Legualt's actions in the end of the 3rd, THEY thought it was cowardly, not just me. Plus Legault waited until he got on home ice to retaliate, not getting any penalties onn Thursday night in Corpus.
Plus Kenny Goetz did take on Legault in the 1st period and was still standing 45+ seconds later!! That was not all talk and NO action, eh?

Obviously the league thought Legault's actions were serious!!

Not to mention that words were said on ice to our players and coach that Legault was going after Brett with the intent of injuring him.

Legault is a goon! I don't care what some of you say about the team needing him-he is a liability and the Bats can do without him.
