Alright, now that we're all seated, let's begin our session, shall we?

"Do I really need to be here?" a light voice asked.

No, but who's stopping you from trying this out? Maybe it can help.

"Doubt it, but whatever. You're the professional. Where do we start?"

Wherever you'd like.

There was a pause. Red eyes locked on the psychiatrist with a, "Are you serious?" look. Finally, the man sighed, shaking his head. "My name is Maeda Kentaro. I was born in Japan, in the countryside outside of bustling Tokyo. My father was a farmer, and my mother stayed at home and raised us kids. Well, there were only two kids, myself and my little brother Tetsuo. But we sure didn't make anything easy for her." A light fit of laughter escaped his lips.

Tell me more about your father.

"He was a traditional father. Wanted the best for his sons, so he did everything the best he could, to lead by example. He taught us the values of honor, courage, and friendship. When he wasn't teaching us something, he was out in the fields, growing food for his family and for money. He was a simple man. He lived a simple life."

And you didn't want a simple life?

"Hell no. I wanted to explore the world. My mother always filled our heads with stories of samurai and wandering warriors. That's what I wanted to be. It's what I wanted to do my whole life." He brushed his fingers along his kimono, red eyes closing for a moment.

So what did you do about it?

Kentaro shrugged casually, tapping his foot for a brief second. "I found an old man who taught me martial arts and the way of the sword. I grew up, training to fulfill my dream. It wasn't easy, by anyone's standards. That old bastard put me through hell, and I'll never forget it." The man chuckled lightly, shaking his head.

"But, I never forgot my father's teachings, or his examples. I tried my very best every day, and after awhile, the training became a little easier. My body became accustomed to it. It was like clockwork after a decade or so. It was my passion. It was my love. After awhile, it became my habit."

"But times were changing in Japan. The swordsman was a dying breed, replaced by guns and the like. I woke up one morning to a group of punks carrying rifles. They killed me, the old man too, I'm presuming. And that's when I found myself here."

And you've been an elder ever since... Well, that's all the time we have for today. I hope I'll see you next week.
