Jenn's Intro
He there! I'm Jenn, the founder of Moms United in Autism Awareness and the founder of Moms United.
I am 31 years old, married to Stephen and mama to Bryanna, my 8 year old little girl.
I have recently undergone some major life changes. I was employed as a Medical Collections Specialist and decided to turn in my notice in June. It was a great job with great pay and benefits, but I knew in my heart it was not where I was suppose to be.
Long story short, I was looking for a job working with kids. I am a former Elem Ed/Social Work major and I missed being in the classroom. As I was looking through the want ads in our local paper, I noticed an ad from a mom looking for therapists for her Autistic child. I emailed her in reference to my Moms United site (we are an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children through letters of love, hope and inspiration) to see if she would be interested in her child becoming a MU Kid.
In response, she emailed me info in reference to the job. From that moment on I was hooked. Needless to say, I feel I have found my life's calling, and now have a job where I have the chance to make a true difference in the life of another.
I decided to form Moms United in Autism Awareness to offer a place of support, friendship, and exchange of information for both family members and therapists alike to connect, educate and help one another.
With that said, I want to welcome you with open arms, and I believe this is going to be a worthwhile endeavor!
