Re: Is that hockey I smell?
you're not kidding....I was listening to the FOX yesterday and they had a live broadcast going, and they said some of the Blackhawks players were there....I was thinking "no, those guys all left town" and then I remembered it was almost September, it never dawned on me that THIS year's players would be trickling into town this month....:lol

We have two players this year. They are all moved in and life around the old homestead is no longer boring. My laundry room no longer smells like the locker room. Yes, life is good and hockey is just around the corner.

We went to the first day of training camp and I must say it looked brutal to me. These kids are just awesome. No numbers on jerseys so you really couldn't tell who was who. Be glad when we can put names with faces. The returning players looked pretty good out there. I tried to keep up with my players so I really didn't notice anyone else. What I did notice was that we are gonna have a kick-a@@ team, so get ready.

And yes, the ice smelled wonderful!! I am in full hockey mode.

Go Blackhawks!!

There was also that distinctive "other" hockey smell wafting through the arena. But what the heck, just means the guys were working up a sweat. They're big, they're fast and tough! Come out and watch them practice. Chaparral Ice Monday's thru Friday's around 1PM to 3PM

Yes, we were at practice on Saturday but didn't make it down today. Were your kids worn out last night? Mine came in and went immediately to bed...:rollin He definitely wore them out!! It was brutal to even watch. They did look good though! Can't wait for the start of the season!

Re: Is that hockey I smell?
My two were asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow. Not to happy about having to get up at 7:30 am Sunday morning, but they did it. I think my ice bags and heating pad are going to get a good workout in the next few weeks.

I love this season's schedule. All of our away games with the exception of Fairbanks and Springfield are just 3 to 5 hours away. Road trips here we come.

Go Blackhawks!!
