Recently Blizzard monitored player drops across all realms coming to the conclusion that it is not anything with in Blizzard's network causing these problems.

We wanted to bring to your attention that at approximately 9:25 PM, 10:10 PM, and 12:40 AM PDT, we monitored measurable player drops across all realms. These drops were the result of activity outside of the Blizzard network. Most importantly, our engineers have escalated this matter to the proper parties and we will continue to monitor our systems for any further disruptions of service.
