IAN
Hate to bring this up in here...but I just saw my name over at IAN...and I got that warm, special feeling inside. Almost as good as the feeling I have when I wake up from my favorite AAO dream.
If anybody hasn't done this yet, I highly recommend it!!
I've sent in a contribution, but I never sent my receipt in. I wanted to keep it as a souvenir. I do plan on sending another contribution. We can raise another 2000 by the end of December! We've got to!! I think it will be so exciting to learn of Apolo's reaction when he hears about it....
Thanks again, Velma and Racci for starting this wonderful thing. You have done a great job!
Re: IAN
Sis, just make a photocopy of your receipt at the bank or the library (or scan it at Kinko's) and send it to Velma. There's a place at IAN where you can ask for a snail mail addy. I would never have given up my card either.
Thanks to Velma and Racci fer shure!!

it usually takes about 2 weeks to get a receipt, plus with the holidays coming up and charitable donations in someones name is really the perfect gift to give the person who has everything, they may still take a little longer than that. but if it starts to seem like a really long time (a month or so), you may want to check with your bank to see if it's been cashed (sometimes checks get lost in the mail and such)

ok, well, I've had people threaten to dye my hair blonde for good reason. I read your post as that you never got your receipt, not that you never sent it in. oops
