I love this comic!
Woo! This comic is great.

I especially love the Whose Line one that you had. That's the one that got me into Breakpoint City.

Thanks for the laughs...

Hey UnBoring... TV Man... person!

Thanks for writing! Ah, another comic strip begins on Tripod... those were the days. I'll have to sit down and take a look at your stuff as soon as all this holiday insanity is over with... I still gotta wrap presents for people! Looks alot like my old stuff when I began this whole 'net thing :)

Oh, and you might want to reconisder the 400 X 400 image as your personal icon and profile image... :D Well, if we ever move forums, there shouldn't be any problems like that anymore.

Aww...
You beat me to it, Darrel! (looks at him glaringly)

I was going to post a "I love this comic!" message a week or so ago, but was waiting for the forum to come back. But, yeah, I love it, and one of my favorites is the "Whose Line" comic, too. Keep up the great work! :D

And, if it counts for anything, I think I got TVMan hooked to it by showing him the WL strip.

See, Rocker? This comic doesn't only attract every MSTie in cyberspace.

...we also get the occasional Whoser. :p

Yes, welcome all! Methinks I ought to do another Whose Line comic sometime down the line to please you two. Hey, whatever happened to that show? They used to run it every night on ABC Family, and now it's... gone. Plus the ABC one seems to keep disapearing and reapearing. Am I going nuts, or did they just put it on at an awful time (such as, oh I don't know... 9 AM Saturdays?)

Anyway, thanks for posting! Woo! New People!

Re: New People!
I actually found this strip through the NEOspace dropdown, and the WL reference was a pleasant surprise. :D I thought my comic was the only one to have made references to the show. But, you know, you drew Greg and Drew better. Actually, you draw better than me in general. Much better.

I don't have cable, so I don't know the situation with WL/ABC Family, but it now airs Fridays at 9:00pm EST on ABC.

I'm kinda surprised you know the term "Whoser." I couldn't tell whether you're the kind that just watches the show, or interacts with other fans online. At least, I don't think I've seen you in any of the forums. Maybe I have, but don't remember. (shrugs, then wanders aimlessly)

Re: New People!
Huz posted the strip on the Idiotsite message board. Once I read it, I was hooked.

Yeah, I've been wondering about ABC Family too. I though it was gone temporarily when they had the Bachelor thing, but I don't know if it's come back since...

Speaking of drawing ability, I'm worse then you Huz...much much worse, so in that logic, your drawing is pretty DAMN good!

Re: New People!
Hey now, no bickering about whose drawing style is worse... :D Besides, if you want a real fright, take a look at my early stuff on the lost comics page.

Oh, and ABCfam is airing WhoseLine at 10-11 again. Yaaay.

So, you posted that comic on a Whoser board? What was the reaction from people? That would be interesting to see :) (I know of Whosers, btw, but I haven't participated in any community like that)

Oh, and one more thing... do you guys like Mystery Science Theater 3000, the show with the guy and two puppets in silhouettes making fun of bad movies? It's okay if you don't... we'll slowly convert you into a fan.

I've never actually seen an ep of MST3000...I take it that it's good?

The responce of that WL comic on the idiotboard was rather good. I think everyone who read it enjoyed it a lot. I went back on today and tried to find the thread so I could link it, but alas...i couldn't...maybe Huz could for ya...

Clive Anderson Talks Back...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Drew Carey hosts (or hosted) the show in the US? I've only seen the US version twice or so, being much more used to the UK version, obviously.

Heh. I feel like I'm part of a special club now, especially now that there's talk of MST3K and TVMan is out of the loop.

Rockerbot!, what are you doing, for God's sake put that copy of Manos, the Hands of Fate down!

And no one is to bow before Brian, praising his drawing ability and screaming that they're not worthy, since that's my job generally.

I'll leaving the bowing to you then... At 6 foot 3 inches height, i can barely bend anyway.

Yes, Drew is the US host, Clive Anderson is the UK host and JayWTBF is the Idiotsite host...or at least one of them...possibly...at different times...

Where can I find MST3k? I'm in the US, in New Jersey if it matters and/or helps with the helping of the finding of the show and the times...

Your life is not complete without MST3k
Well, first of all, it's on cable's Sci Fi channel. So that puts at least one of you guys out of the running (but wait! You can still find episodes on tape at your local video store, or even Mystery Science Theater 3000 the Movie!)

But anyway, it's on SciFi at the God-awful time of Saturdays at 9AM until 11 (well, it's early for me, but I'm a college student and one in the afternoon is what I consider early ;) )

Describing the plot of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (or MST3K for short) is difficult because it's cast keeps changing from season to season, as does it's location. But the premise is always the same. The version you'll see on SciFi is about a happless Joe (Mike Nelson) who is trapped aboard a sattelite orbiting Earth in the not-too-distant future. He's being held prisoner up there by the evil scientist Pearl Forrester, who's using him as a lab rat for one of her expeiments. The experiment is to force Mike the worst movies ever made, until he goes insane. Mike watches each movie with two robots aboard the ship, Tom Servo and Crow, and they all yell out wisecracks and other humorous quips right back at the bad movie. Every so often, Mike and the Bots will take a break from the film and go into a "host segment," in which they further make fun of the movie in skit-form. Will Mike ever go nuts? Will the movies ever end? Will Pearl become and accredited mad scientist? Find out on MST3K!

This week, according to www.mst3kinfo.com is the movie SPACE MUTINY, a very cheesy 1980's space movie with ripped footage from other various 80's space movies. And railings. Lots of railings. And the worst final chase scene in movie history.

Let me know what you think of it. I think it's in the same humor vein as Whose Line, but then again, this is a show that you either hate or obsessivley love. Guess which category most of us forum people fall into?

I love MST3k. :) I made the inevitable parody comic for March 27th, 2002 on my site.

I found it! There were only two replies. I feel too modest to believe the first reply, but she's probably partial to mine because she knows me.

BORK HARDCHEESE, STEVE SQUATHRUST!
SPACE MUTANY!

One of the first MST3K's I'd seen, and the first that was so funny it hurt.

And you guys should think yourself lucky - the UK Sci-Fi channel is no longer a creature of the US one (in fact, it hasn't been for many a year, the way I understand it), so they can barely show any of MST3K over here. They only had the rights to show about 10 episodes or so, and apparantly had repeated them beyond belief. They've actually stopped showing it, and refuse to show any until (more like if) they get episodes that have never been transmitted in the UK before.

Thank God for the internet and DVD importers.

Actually, now that it's been mentioned, I've never done a MST3K parody of my comic... I think I meant to ages and ages and ages and ages ago...

Oh, just a note to TVMan... tomorrow at 9AM is MST3K again... make sure you tape it or something, because I just found out that it's the episode where they watch a Gumby cartoon in addition to the bad movie (The Screaming Skull.) Yes, three grown adults watching and making fun of a poor old Gumby cartoon. One of my favorite episodes EVAR. You watch it, okay? :D

And, yes, I'm reading both of your comics now. :)
