Help! New starter! alabama
I am having REAL problems with energy levels. I am only on day 4 and i feel TERRIBLE |I

I've heard the early periods are the toughest but does anyone out there have any tips for me? I'm finding it almost impossible to concentrate at work.

I don't like dairy products very much but have been trying to introduce them into my diet to give me more options but they're making me feel really sick. :x Is this normal?

ANY WORDS OF WISDOM WELCOME!!!!!
THANK YOU!

I've known some people alergic to dairy products so perhaps that's part of the problem with them making you feel even worse. As for the fact that you were already feeling drained, I've also heard that it's part of the induction, however I experienced the exact opposite reaction.

I know on the Atkins site it did say if you were experiencing really bad fatigue or illness to add a few more carbs in the form of nuts, or something like that that would be allowable in the next stage but is still part of the plan until your body adjusted better then to cut them out again. You might want to check out their site at: www.atkins.com

low enery advice marrilou
ive done the atkins twice now, one unsuccessful attempt two years ago and this one which seems to be going okay

the difference i found between this time and last are:

1) im eating an extra portion of salad (recommended by book)

2) drinking loads more water

3) exercising a bit more (not loads, im talking walking to work, getting bus back) and im feeling better this time round

last time i was so tired i quit because i felt that bad but now ive "read" the book properly i know its because i didnt follow the plan properly, the previous advise of adding some nuts to your diet seems sound and add a little more green salad.

for extra advice see the atkins site

its quite good

Oh and are you taking a mulit vitamin supplement? you could possibly be lacking in some minerals or nutrients which are leaving you drained.

take care
