Hard to get to 20 during induction 310to240
Help the Newbie! I started on 6/6 before I got the book. Went from past hearsay and a newspaper article. Got the book Sunday and read and read. Been doing a lot wrong but still lost 16 lbs in a week and a half. Not complaining. But now questions.Am starting Induction over as of yesterday. Having a very hard time coming close to 20 gms a day. Seems like I can only get to 13 or 14 and almost have to force myself to eat most of the time so as not to go more than 2 or 3 hours without at least a snack. I could easily skip lunch everyday and the meat for dinner most of the time. I am a salad lover. Got a long way to go so want to do it right. I have been keeping up on my 4 pts of water a day. (thats tough for a crystal light lemonaide freak!) Haven't drunk anything but that for several years, but am determined to do this right. If someone has an answer to my problem Please Post or better, send me an e-mail. Thanks guys and gals and sorry to use up so much space.

I really hope someone with experience answers you..however, does the book say you HAVE to have 20 grms of carbs a day? I do think its important to eat the protein at dinner as not eating enough causes some folks to stall..

Is the goal in induction to have exactly 20 carbs a day?, Or just to stay under 20? I think suplements are SOOOOOOOO important during this time.:eek

protein and carb amounts sandrat2
If you are not eating enough protein (you mentioned being a salad freak), your weight loss may be muscle loss. You have to eat enough protein to maintain muscle. I don't see a problem with staying below 20 grams of carbs, I follow the Protein Power program and under 30 carb grams your are really just talking calories.:)
