Another sweet and lovely songbird from town is Saba Berenji ( www.sabamusic.com ).
The scene is very much alive in SD with the sound of beautiful music from lovely voices of the female persuasion (or in cases like Mraz, dudes who just sound like soulful women).

Ashley Matte
Gosh I can't believe no one has mentioned Ashley Matte. This gal's blowing up and is a local San Diego Musician. She's been touring with Chris Isaak, Gavin Degraw, Dishwalla too. She doesn't dothe coffee house alot, although she does do Lestats every once and awile. She plays like 3 different weekly club gigs though. Check it out. www.ashleymatte.com
