Final Fantasy XI
I got 3-4 e-mails today from people asking me to try and coordinate it so the handful of Silver Hand folks interested in this game can at least get together...
I don't know if we have enough interest to form a full-blown guild there, but I'll pick a server and announce it tomorrow, so the few people who want to can at least play together.
Is anybody "into" this one enough to make the committment to run it there if we start a guild? I'll setup boards and stuff if so... e-mail or PM me if you're interested.
I'm still playing SWG, DAoC, and playing the Horizons beta so I don't think I'll be able to run the guild there, but will help out and give advice if anyone else wants to.

Hello, Znick (and all). You probably don't remember me. I'm not even sure if I'm still a member, but I was active in Shadowbane a while back...I think my in-game name was Daneel (priest). Anyway, I saw you hanging around one (or more?) FFXI sites today and thought I'd drop by and say "Hi". I'm going to get FFXI later today and give it a try...see how much I like it until EQ2 comes out. (I tried SWG, but that didn't have much appeal for me.)
One think (you probably already know, but here goes anyway): You're assigned random servers in FFXI, so to get friends on the same server, someone has to buy a "Worldpass" in-game. I'm not sure how it works, but somehow it allows subsequent players (you list on the Worldpass) to be added to the same server. Otherwise, you're not likely to end up on the same server as friends.
Well, so long. If you happen to get a Silver Hand presence on FFXI started, and you have a spare spot on your Worldpass, I'd be interested in joining up. I'm going to try to get the in-game name "Lije" and will be starting up later today.

You can either use a World Pass or just keep deleting/remaking your char and you'll eventually get on the server you want...

Well, just wanted to let you know that I've canceled my FFXI account. Not really a bad game, but I'm not a FF fan, so I guess that was part of the reason it just didn't seem to hook me. Not a bad game, mind you. Just didn't do it for me.
I'll still be lurking around here. I'm hoping TOSH decides to have a presence in EQ2.

We will most definitely be in CoH as well as WoW and Horizons... I'd hope we'll be in EQ2 as well as Lineage2 also.
Although I'm currently leading TOSH in FFXI I will find someone to take it over once we're settled in. I don't know that I'll play it long-term or check out Lineage2 or Horizons as well.
I'll be 1st in line when UOX is released though, you can count on that!
I guess it all depends on when their each released and if someone steps forward to lead us there.

Yep...duh...I am aware of City of Heroes. Just didn't come to mind when I saw the abbreviation.
Sounds pretty interesting. I've always wondered though...how are they gonna make a world where EVERYBODY is a superhero? (Although actually I guess all MMORPG games are full of "superheroes"...heh.)
