Fall-out from the Brickyard
Well, it seems that Tony Stewart's temper got the better of him yet again, this time at Indy. Depending on which article you read, he either hit, shoved or kicked a freelance photog. Seems said photog would not leave Tony alone, even after Tony tried running from him. The photog chased him down, and Tony showed his temper. Wonder what NASCAR will do, now?
And, the continuing saga of Kurt Busch vs. Jimmy Spencer rolls on. Both drivers, and their respective car owners have been called to the big red trailer, BEFORE either car is allowed on the track at Watkins Glen. Seems like NASCAR is fed up with their little pissing contest. Can't wait to see what transpires up there this weekend.
And Tony may still be on probation. Not sure what will happen there.
On the Busch/Spencer thing.....I think Jimmy needs his butt whooped just one time and maybe the crap would stop. The BIG RED TRAILER may be full this week.

Re: Fall-out from the Brickyard
Jimmy Spencer says he never forgets, but apparently he has forgotten who actually controls a NASCAR race. I really hope the powers that be will remind him, in a BIG way. I can't help thinking about the movie, "Days of Thunder" when the two drivers and their car owners are "invited" to meet with "Big John". As Big John says, "If you two monkeys so much as swap paint one more time, I'm gonna black flag ya, tear your race cars apart down to the bare metal, and then, if you can rebuild it, I might let you back on my track." (Paraphrased, since I do have somewhat of a life outside auto racing and hockey, but you get the drift.)
If nothing else, this weekend promises to be entertaining.
You know, the Kurt Busch charade with him pointing to his butt and then at Spencer and then into the air, I just gotta wonder what the hell he was intimating. Michael Waltrip said he was telling NASCAR to put Spencer to the rear of the field, but I think he was telling Jimmy what he thought of him. Something about a hole? Who knows. But it was funny!!
Re: Fall-out from the Brickyard
Tony Stewart will never get away with anythingas long as he stays with Nascar! He is by far one of their biggest stars and probably gets Nascar more publicity then any other driver with the exception of Kenny Schrader and the few others who run Dirt on occassion! I feel he was justified with his actions, I still have not seen or heard proof that Tony was in the wrong! Maybe he shouldnt have thrown the so-called punch but we dont know what the photographer was up to! I dont care if your a public figure and have to live with the fact that the media will hound you all the time, theres a place and a time for the media and sometimes after the race isnt the best time!
Onto Jimmy "Crash" Spencer, hes a piece of trash in my eyes! I really dont understand how the guy can keep a job anywhere! I dotn care how good he was on Dirt or if he has done anything in Cup, the guy drives like an @$$! How many times has Jimmy said the famous words "Jimmy never forgets"? Well, I know for a fact the other drivers dont forget, and Jimmy has no one to blame but himself!
Kurt Busch may run his mouth a little to much and act like a punk at times but what driver didnt at one point in their career? Hes young and very talented, he drives for a great car owner and team and has a promising future! Once he settles down and learns when to talk and when not to, he will leave all the controversy behind him! Kevin Harvick found that out the hard way but his career is turning for the better now even if it did ruin his sophmore season!
RE: Tony Stewart
OUCH!!! That was a very expensive "punch, kick or shove". I think the photographer should be banned from NASCAR events. He obviously doesn't know how to conduct himself at them. I hate it for Tony, but I guess NASCAR has to send a message, and Tony is the vessel in which they chose to deliver it.
Re: RE: Tony Stewart
Tony Stewart got another fine....$50,000 from his sponsor, Home Depot. Proceeds are to be donated to charity. He's also on sponsor probation for the rest of the year.
Wish I had seen video of exactly what happened....while he shouldn't have hit the guy, you gotta wonder if the photog provoked him....
Re: RE: Tony Stewart
This is how I see is based on what I have heard. Tony is going to his motorcoach and the photog is following him. Tony starts to run and the photog starts running to catch him. If the photo dude would have took the hint that he didnt want his puc taken then he wouldnt have been punched, kicked, shoved or whatever. He is at fault too. Maybe he should be fined or banned from NASCAR postraces. Just my little opinion.
