Extra special meeting - Monday 2nd April 2007
Our monthly meeting will be on Monday 2nd April. Someone from the Great North Air Ambulance will be coming along to talk to us about the great work that they do.
Please try to be there. Any new people wanting to join us, you are welcome to come along to the talk.
i have spoke to paul who works for the lifeboats , he said whitby need money as there building a new life boat house , he`s given me there number i will call them for you , he said there very helpfull , i said we are thinking of supporting the air ambulance as well , and that we have a stall at ridewell bike show , well hope this helps

Hello there. Where have you been hiding?
Both were suggested but we still have to decide which one. We did think about supporting both but don't think that at the moment we will be able to raise enough funds.
lastnights meeting
THANKS to all those new members that arrived last night.There was alot going on but i hope we aint frightened you away.We are looking forward to the weather getting warmer mind its cold today,to get out on our bikes for a nice blast! Keep watching the site for dates for rideouts.Frankie our secretary has filed the air ambulance notes for now.Yeh it looked like we had two secretarys lastnight its just the new website details being noted! Well, unfortunately, the GNAA man didn't turn up so it looks like we are going to sponsor the RNLI at Whitby as suggested by Jimbo's Big Sis.
Yes, everyone kept looking at each with a rather confused look, even the new members seemed to wonder what was happening, but we know what it was about now.
As Aero said, there was a lot of discussion at the meeting. There are still decisions to make once we have the informations we need so, hopefully everyone can make it to the next meeting so we can vote on these things.
Re: lastnights meeting we dont know yet as few things were bothering us after the last meeting!Everybody needs there say on things before action is taken a few members never made the meeting but they are members and they should have a say too.I personally think the gnaa is better than the rnli i know jimbos sis put it forward but they do have alot more to offer.The sub would be better at 50p i think and if u dont turn up then u pay half next time .I was trying to say what i thought but in the end i just kept quiet.Its becomming abit regimental and we arent a bike club of the sort we are laid back have a laugh club yes it needs some alterations to get more members but if they turn up to a meet like the other night they will run a mile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry its got to be said i know a few members werent happy anyway speak soon mrs j.
last meeting
have to say im with u mrs j - (rolo/minty) and frankie i know i not ever had a bike but i did join not long after jimbo , and it seems i never got asked plus my partner gary who came for the 1st time wasnt very happy and to be truthfull i dont think he wants to come back , he said nothing got talked about fully he would like to have a t-shirt for ride well so he can feel hes part of the bike club as he will be helping jimbo set up , it would be a great bike club if someone didnt keep butting in eg (top dog) the reason behind a bike club is that everyone gets to make a equal decision . im hoping to get gary to change his mind about the bike club if he doesnt want to be in it then i will be leaving as well , and i think alot more will leave as well if things dont CHANGE!!!!

well i must of missed another great night.are the elections in full flow and i thought the club was set up to have a ride out and a few beers[not at the same time] or is it me just looking to deep.

The club was set up so that members had someone to go on rideouts with, usually arranged for once a fortnight. We also met once a month to discuss the rideouts, other bike stuff and to arrange charity events and once a month socially.
During the last year, a lot of our members were either ill or moving house or had other personal commitments so there were not a lot of rideouts or events.
This year we decided to get the club back up and running as it used to be and had another race night which was a good success.
At the last meeting, certain proposals were put forward but most members didn't feel that they had properly had their say or that anything was properly agreed on so we decided to have another meeting to sort this out.
I still don't think that the club will become any more formal than it was before but, obviously, if everyone can't agree on something, we do need to have some sort of voting system in place.
