OOC: In this rp I need people to take up certian charries. I don't care what your name is who how many charries you take up just let everyone have a chance.
Here's what I need-
3 groom
1 assistant trainer
1 trainer
2 jockeys
I don't care if you have other charries too but I would like it if you tell me what they are so I can keep track.
*Caryn Lilac Skylar carefully made her way down the aisle of her parents barn. It was hard to believe that every single one of these horses belonged to her. She only hoped that she would be able to help these horses become champions maybe even ride them to their greatest victories. She'd only just gotten her apprentice's license a few weks ago too. Caryn stopped at the end stall and looked in. Stabled in this stall was the yearling filly that her parents had given her for her birthday. Caryn had quickly decided to name her Ms. Gothin' Up the Track to honor her childhood friend who loved to where black.*
Does this Roleplay have anything to do with the Thoroughbred Series and you need a rating if it is, anyway this sounds kewl i might join, i am a jockey if this is

The trainer of the farm, Carley Briggs, saw Caryn making her way down the aisle. She paused at a dark bay's stall and looked in on the colt. He had recently recovered from colic, but Carley had been keeping a close on him.
The colt was contenly munching away on his hay near the stall door. When he heard someone standing abover him, his head shot up. He whickered lowly at Carley and then began to eat again.

"excuse me ma'am who would you like me to work " someone behind Carley said. Sherray Brooks had dirty blonde hair that fell below her shoulders .She and carley were good friends but Sher liked to tease Carley often by calling her ma'am which Carley disliked.

"Ok Andrea today is your first day at work do not mess this up" Twenty year old Andrea Johnston said to herself as she roled up to the farm. Tucking her pretty blone hair behind her ear she hopped out and walked to the biggest barn which looked to be the training barn.
"Hello is anyone here" Andrea said timidly. At ten years old the young women had been thrown out of her house forced to live along the streets begging for change, until she had gotten a stroke of luck when a nice family took her in and gave her a home on their Thoroughbred Racing Ranch in Florida. From that moment on Andrea knew what she was destined to be, a jockey. Leaving her family she retreated to Kentuckey where she would pursue her career as a jockey and hopefully fufilling her dream.
((OOC: Just to let you know she is an aggrasive rider sometimes))

Sherray was twenty two years old and had been working at lilac farm since she was 18 before that she rode for a different barn. Sherray owned two horses a wild mustang she was training herself and a thoroughbred.

Carley rolled her eyes and spun around. "If you call me that again, you won't be working anyone," she said sharply. But then she grinned. "I want you to work that new blue roan colt, Periwinkle. Walk him, trot him, canter him. Then, let him out slowly and once you get 6 furlongs away from the wire, let him loose. Think of it as a race." She shoved her away. "Go get him ready and I'll meet you out on the track."
Carley heard a voice and looked down the aisle. "Are you blind?" she called back. Carley smiled sweetly and tucked a piece of her dirty blonde hair behind her ear. At twenty-two, she was a single mom with a six-year-old and a four-year-old. Her boyfriend, father of both kids, had left after her second child was born.

Sherray laughed in reply but went down the aisle to where periwinkle's stall was.seeing andrea she smiled "you must be new here" she commented while she took periwinkle out on the crossties.

Carley turned back to the dark bay colt and leaned over the stall door. "Would you like to get some fresh air?" she asked the colt, who went by the name of Rascal. She grabbed the rope halter hanging outside of his stall and entered. Rascal obediently put his face in the halter. Carley lead him out of the his stall and down the aisle to where the new girl was standing.
"Hello," she said, stretching out her hand. "Carley Briggs, trainer. Are you the new rider?"

Sherray excused herself to get Periwinkle's tack . When she returned she began to groom the horse. She started humming as she wroked through the tangles in Periwinkle's mane. Leaning over she ran her hand down Periwinkles leg and began to clean out each hoove.

"Hello, I'm Andrea Johnston the new jockey here i guess" She said sweetly taking the outstretched hand. "Well I am not blind i just couldn't see you i mean it is dark down there".
Looking around the barn she smiled as they horses stuck their heads out and looked at her. Andrea saw a big black horse at the end of the barn bucking and giving his handler a hard time. Even from this far away Andrea could tell that animal was a nice looking animal. The big black bit the handler hard on the arm then pranced around and gave a stallion like challenge.

"He just arrived last week " Sherray said reffering to the horse " Hi andrea I'm sherray the other jockey" she said holding out her hand as she lay the other one on periwinkle's neck

Carley smiled at Andrea. "Nice to meet you, Andrea," she said. She glanced over her shoulder at the black horse and rolled her eyes. "He's lovely when he gets moving. Great on the trails, too. If you can believe that. He never had much groundwork. And he knows when it's time to run or get outside because he'll act up like this." She turned back to Andrea smiled and then looked down at Sherry.
"Hurry it up," she told Sherry. "I'll meet you out on the track." She started down the aisle, excusing herself. Then, she suddenly stopped and looked back at Sherry. "He got a new saddle; it has that gullet system. So, see which one is the best. If none are, then put on his old saddle." She shook her head. "His withers are such a hassle."
With that, the trainer turned and walked out to the track, Rascal following her calmly.

Sherray rolled her eyes " I know , its such a pain ."she replied and when she finished grooming him She picked up the new saddle mubling something under her breath. finnaly figuring it out she put the saddle on his back and asjusted the girth.Then she grabbed the bridle.
"come on boy if you take the bit right away i'll give you a carrot" she said warmly though there was an impatient look on her face.
Periwinkle like most horses hated the bit and was also bad at trailering. finnaly he took the bit.Sighing with releif Sherray buckled the bridle and began to lead him out.She stopped momentarily and called out to andrea
"you can come watch the workout if you want to see how Carley usualy does the workouts."

Carley watched the others work the horses. She gave a few instructions and then watched them. She also told everyone how the horse looked, how he may need more conditioning, etc.
"D*mn," she murmured. "I need an assistant." She sighed. Rascal was now prancing next to her. He wanted to get out there, too. She placed a calm hand on his sweating neck. The horse started to settle beneath her.

"Ok, Sure" She said following the pair. When she got to the track she turned around and kept a close watch on the black horse. "Amazing just Amazing" She breathed as the horse kicked out and whinnied.
