Confused About Your Application? [In Depth Explaination]
So here's the application kids! I'll give you a break down, then I'll give you the way I want it coded so that it looks lovely.
Name: [Easy enough. Your name! You don't have to tell me your real name. Just something to call you by. If you leave this blank, let it be known that your custom titles will refer to you as "George."]
Contact information: [Where can I reach you in case you disappear and people start to mourn your second death? If you have no other forms of contact, just list PM's and we'll miss you that much more until you return]
Character's name: [Character's name, first and last. If you're new to Ezboard, I would prefer that your screenname match this name, for clarity purposes. If you're an old user or if you created your screenname beforehand, I'll just list your character name in your CT's]
Age Upon Entering/At Death: Time is practically stopped in this world, if not edging by very, very slowly. (Think fifty years pass for every one year aged. But they count years in the same way. So virtually no aging, but the years pass by. See [What It's All About]. Characters can also be born into this world, but they have to be quite old to appear mature. Naturally slow aging, long lived races can become really, really old!]
Age Now: [How many years young is your character?]
Race: [If you're stumped, I've got a few races I made up myself that you can look at. Remember, this will affect your character's appearance and personality as well.]
Appearance: [Tell me all of the juicy details. I want to know about the length of his hair and the way his nose is curved ever-so-delicately. Make me see your character in all of their shining glory. If you have a picture, I'll put that in your CT's as well, as long as it is 150x250 pixels in size. Anything else will stretch the screen. Even with a picture, I want to know the way he moves and the color of his socks. Think about every element of your character's looks. Believe me, this makes for wonderful play when you get ready to.]
Personality:[Give me the nitty gritty. I want to know if he's a bad boy or if she's a saint. Tell me how your character would respond to being provoked or teased, would they fight or cry in the corner? Then, tell me why they're that way!]
Biography: [Tell me about your character's life so far and what things have shaped this life. I want to know everything, including how they died or if they were born here?]
Powers, if any: [If they're unreasonable, I'll tell you.]
Weapons, if any: [This setting is far from highly technological. If your character, however, is from a highly technological society, then lazer guns are acceptable. But I don't much like guns. It doesn't take much effort to point and shot. Give me a sword duel to the death. Mmm.]
Additional information: [Does your character like pickles? Allergies? First kiss? Tell me anything you find important that I've not provided a space for.]
If your character is lacking powers or weapons, feel free to leave those spaces blank or simply delete them. Impress me with your abilities guys, I want to know these characters like they were my own heart and soul.
Submit your application by forming a new thread in this forum. When you are accepted, you'll be moved down to the next forum! After the first page of applications, however, I'll start deleting, so be sure to copy all important information into another post in Character Bios. Add anything important that happens to your character in that thread. Treat your thread creatively! Make it into a personal journal for your character, or my personal favorite, a psychiatrist's log of your character's ramblings. My application will be in each of these forums as an example.
